Another new artist or I should say artists have been added to the Pearl Jam poster roster. The group is in Los Angeles for another show tonight at the LA Sports Arena and the poster is done by TrustoCorp.

Some of you may be asking who is that ? Their work has been in galleries from Los Angeles to London. Their work has been on the streets from Los Angeles to London. What they are known for best is their biting social commentary through satire by installing street signs and other items that actually make people think again or at least that is the hope. By mocking the very people and corporations that want to control you they are on the streets fighting for you every night.

One of the funniest things they did was create a drive through liposuction clinic at an existing gas station. Read about it HERE. The installation was filmed and part of it was used in the video they made with Everlast for his song I Get By which can be seen below. Check out the ABC News video below as well.

This is the first time TrustoCorp has ever done a poster for a band and as a fan of their work I am stoked to see this and have the honor of premiering it for you all to see. This big eagle is 24 x 36 inches and it is a 7 color silk screen

Now on Monday TrustoCorp will be selling their artist edition posters so you will have a chance to get your hands a super piece of rare art by them. Artist edition will be a signed and numbered edition of 100

It will go on sale at NOON PST Monday November 25 at http://www.trustopopup.com/

Also, they don't ship to Canada. Tried sending them a message on their website but I get errors.

Poster from the store was taken down. On sale tomorrow.

Hopefully the shipping is fixed to ship outside the USA.
  • really nice.

emek in Portland... this beauty... makes me wonder if we're headed towards another ames shitplop in Vancouver?

i'm saying it again... Vancouver consistently gets the shaft for posters. lamb boy/pipe smoking moose/random aboriginal splashings in the form of a shape holding a frying pan with a salmon... sheesh.

    we get shows though!

The 2 posters contrasting what I said are far cries from classics. I'd say they are 'okay'. They hardly offset the other 'beauties' I listed earlier. But this is for debate.

I just find it a 'bit' concerning that the artists I appreciate- and some 'newer' artists- have already been selected for cities other than Vancouver. Who knows who will design the poster, but the pessimist in me thinks Ames.

    Drag.

I liked this one (aboriginal splashings/frying pan salmon). Though it was pretty cool how the face was the heart of the cool Inuit/Eskimo animal art and the hand extending one of their most prized and appreciated assets to the world, the salmon, only to have the premier part taken but the rest unwanted.

Ironic that it is essentially the same theme as this Emek which was so highly praised and was flipped by many a person for quite a profit….

To each their own though when it comes to appreciation of art and I hope you get a rockin show AND poster you enjoy. I will agree lamb-boy was a bit puzzling. I think it was meant to show someone going crazy because they are transforming into a "sheep" going along with a herd mentality. Who knows though :?:

As for tonight's poster I like the theme and these seem to be pretty cool folk who do pretty cool artistic themes locally in LA. All about supporting local art  . I think it is similar to the idea of the Charlottesville Rogers poster. This is a little less "intimidating" than that but I personally enjoy the starker imagery when it comes to politically persecuting themed art.

    Enjoy the show LA!
