Not sure how to pick a #1 between Worcester 1 and Hartford. More like a #1 and #1a. Both were simply amazing. Worcester 2 was very good but not in the same league.

I think, if it comes down to it, I'd go with Hartford at 1 and Worcester 1 at 1a. Preferred the main set in Worcester but I may never see another encore like that first one in Hartford. Both had RIDICULOUS crowd energy. Maybe Hartford had the edge but also maybe that is just recency talking.

    Still can't make a definitive call! :D

And if I was picking today I would give Worcester 1 the edge. That main set was ridiculous.

Never going to be able to pick between those two.

I was not at Charlottesville, but I can see this being true for some people. It's all subjective based on the show, the energy, your seats, etc.

The XL Center was like a freaking atom bomb going off for 3 hours. Setlists aside, the Hartford show packed so much energy the whole show....it was just relentless.

I just spent a significant amount of time trying to do this....and I couldn't. Each show was amazing for different reasons, and actually cannot come up with a list. But I think it's safe to say Baltimore is #1 ;)

I looked back over the setlist for Hartford and was generally surprised. Chloe/Crown and Eruption --> ATBL jump off the page but the rest (speaking only on paper) seemed less than I remember. It was the energy that night that put that show into another league. I have never been to a show like that before. Worcester and Boston 2010 were hot and Wrigley before the delay had the potential but Hartford was the best crowd I've seen.

Hartford rivals Montreal '98 for the best crowd I have ever been a part of.

And aside from the couple of "whoa" moments you mentioned, how about:

Long Road --> Sometimes (totally set the mood)

    Immortality (killer version)

    ALONE

Come Back - I mean, who ever thought you'd be able to say a particular version of CB could be the best ever? Mike KILLED that ending solo.

GTF after ATBL....was PERFECT. Just when the place was rocking, bring on the musical wave that is known as GTF.

    And then in the enccore:

    Crazy Mary --> Go --> Alive --> F'in Up? C'mon.....that's nuts.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Hartford at all. And you are right, there is some great stuff there. But if we are picking nits (and we are of we are comparing one legendary show to another) I think I give the slight setlist edge to Worcester 1.

I say Hartford and Woo1 are #1 and #1 that I saw. Both were piledrivers.

Absolutely. Piledriver is a great word for those two shows.
