I'm trying to take the aspect of "best I saw" out of the equation. Yes, I know that's hard to do :)

On the flip side, I appreciate when people add that disclaimer...that way I/we know there's a bit of bias thrown in.

    love that intro.

wish they would do it more.

Eddie's done that intro many times . . . I first heard it in Toronto in 2000 and fell in love with it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vKuCacIDOA&t=53m31s). I've heard it on a few other bootlegs too.

He does it in the Immagine In Cornice DVD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItKXzTLNqWs) and did it in Buffalo in October (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpjS1XbbgJo&t=1m54s). I knew instantly which song was coming after a couple of notes (that's me yelling; "Yes Eddie!!! Whoo!" when he first started playing it because I love that intro AND I knew that Immortality was coming up :)), but it's funny, many fans have no idea what is coming when he starts to play that intro. Guess many people have not heard it before.....

I have learned to play it on guitar in the past year too, which is awesome!

Any version of Immortality with that intro is a great one IMO!

Like "It's OK" at the end of Daughter, I too feel that little intro at the start of Immortality makes the performance much more special. This intro can also be found in the Cleveland 2006 performance and Berlin 1, 2012 - which BOTH, coincidentally enough, also have the previously-mentioned great version of Daughter!

Toronto '00, however I was there so I am biased. But I do think it's an incredibly underrated version. I will have to check out some of the suggestions in this thread!
