Your *dream* vinyl Wishlist
we've all got at least a few that seem to elude us. this is for fun & to blow off steam. people are getting to crazy about Sevens/Vault 3 these days. here's my list.....I've had the chance to own all of these, but I never got them...and I hope that there are reissues in the works for all of them. I don't care about the collector's item value at all, I just want to spin them.
1. Benny Hall
I started collecting lp's in high school. (1994 or so.) When Benny came out, my record player was broken & I bought the cd from the 10c instead. I actually had this in my cart & removed it. This was a dumb move but I will never be able to justify spending $1000+ on a record/boxset...no matter how much I want it. :fp:
2. Lost Dogs
For some reason I didn't think this would be that hard to get down the road. I was wrong. :fp:
3. My Morning Jacket--Okonokos
I had this in my hands at Waterloo Records in Austin. We were watching our budget (and still are) & that trip to Austin had already been a bit of a splurge. So I put it back on the shelf. Now it's OOP. :fp:
4. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers--She's The One Soundtrack
See #2. :fp:
Sure, there are others, but those 4 stick out the most to me. It's ok....I have plenty of great records that I spin. Someday.....
So what is you dream vinyl wishlist?

Counting Crows- Recovering the Satellites and This Desert Life
Tragically Hip- Fully Completely and Day for NightEdmonton 93, Vancouver 05, Vancouver 09, Edmonton 11, Vancouver 110 -
I am sure you will one day somehow get all the stuff from that list
I have several different vinyl wishlists
This is the stuff that would require extensive research and lots of savings:
1) a Benny
2) Kruder & Dorfmeister - The K & D Sessions
This has been on my list for a while now. It is out of print and the copies range from 80 up to 300, 400 dollars. I am not actively trying to find one, because most of them have been spun by DJs and are said to be not in perfect condition.
3) Mark Lanegan - I'll take care of you
I love this album, but was shocked to find out that it also seems to be out of print and is thus, expensive, around 200 dollars and up. Boo. But "Has God seen my shadow" will help me getting over it.
4) Queens of the Stone Age - Beaver EP
I am a sucker for coloured vinyl and this is one of my fave bands. I'd love to have all their stuff on vinyl.
4a). Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf on red vinyl (I got a fake one, as I found out
)
5) Lost Dogs / Avocado
I am patient. The hunt is fun too. But within a certain limit. The price for a Benny is outside that limit. Sadly. Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0 -

Remember I was looking for it? I was lucky to score the UK red vinyl and the American Version!"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it"

It's one of my fave pieces of music. I can even speak along the spoken words, I have listened to it so many times  I love that it is a full acoustic show, and the song selection is spectacular. Yes, it is special. At least to me

Well, can't say that I have heard it on vinyl
, but Benny just comes across sonically "warm" and for me anyway, it would seem that the vinyl would just enhance that even more. 0 -
Thanks for the replies...there was a time where I wanted one (if one falls in my lap, I'll keep it - by the way) but I feel it would sit on the shelf. I like my PJ to hit me in the mouth, the acoustic thing isn't a turn off but...I guess just not in my wheelhouse.I've met Rob

You can get Sam's Town and Consolers on the cheap my man!
The hard one is Day & Age but be patient. I grabbed a copy earlier this year that was NM condition for like $45. It was a steal.'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4

Yeah it's one of the better sounding pieces of wax I've heard but at the end of the day I ended up selling mine back because for $900 there are so many boxsets and music that can only be had on wax. You can get a bunch of grains for what a Benny runs. The other reason I sold is because they will only be releasing more live stuff which means I can get my hands on tons of live PJ with at least the vault series and anything else they put out. I wish I was around 10 years ago when it came out but the Mp3's will have to do for me now. At least until some Benny bootlegs pop up :corn:'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4
