hey all!

our dear, wonderful ms. haiku is going in for open heart surgery!!! this thursday in NYC. :shock: she is a major trooper and WILL come thru this with flying colors of course, but it certainly would be awesome if all kept her in their thoughts, offered lots and lots of good wishes, and just generally appreciated what a kick-ass individual she is.

she is a long, long time pj fan - i've heard her described as an energizer bunny in the front row - and she is a long-time board member as well (aka bibliobella). she is simply generally an amazing individual with such a love of life and a major positive attitude. 8-)

we were meant to meet today as she was here in the city getting pre-surgical tests, but unfortunately they took forevvveeeeerrrrrr and we couldn't make it happen - she had to catch her train home, i had to get to class. i SO look forward to the day i get to meet her post-surgery, all healthy, recovered and happy.

so offer up all the LOVE, good vibes and general good stuff ya got to the super fantastic ms. haiku. :mrgreen:

    I usually recover well, so I expect it to happen this time. I expect to be on here during the very boring part of the hospital in-patient time. Probably starting on Saturday.
