Love the song...but from the videos, I doesn't seem to work live all that much.
Ed's delivery live during the song is flat out incredible. I haven't watched the videos and only recall what I remember from its premier in Buffalo, but I thought it was great. Ed was so fired up.
LOVE this song! Probably my second favorite on the album after Getaway. I was hoping to hear it live, but didn't get to. Hopefully they play it more next time they tour the US.

The first few listens to the album and this is the one song that would completely take me out of the album experience. I wasn't a big fan of it at all.
It's grown on me a bit now... but not to the point where I love it to death. Still one of my least favorites on the new album.
This song immediately grabbed me....maybe I have daddy issues haha. When Ed hits that last verse, I am singing it as loud as I can. It is so powerful to me. The bass line is rad too....
"Now father you're dead and gone
And I'm finally free to be me
Thanks for all your fucked-up gifts
For which I got no sympathy
Now I'm living in a war torn place
Hear the bombs, a 5th Symphony
Thanks for this and thanks for that
I gotta let go legacy"

Not even a big Police fan, but PJ rips it up Police style in this one and it couldn't be more badass.
