Boot To Go For - US Tour Leg 1

Ok, so from the UK here. I plan on buying one boot, from each of the legs of the US tour.
The Vancouver one is already nailed down, as I have a friend who is going to that show.

So in terms of Leg 1. I am looking for a boot, where Eddie's voice is holding up well, I watched
the Brazil gig from earlier in 2013, and I thought he struggled.

Also I want good tight renditions!

So far I am considering Brooklyn 2, Philly 1 and Charlottesville...

What do we think?

I went to three of the shows and he sounded great at all three.

I would look at the setlists.

Charlottesville, VA is the leader in that regard imho.
    Soldier Field - 7.11.95
    Chicago - 5.16.06
    Chicago - 8.24.09
    Eddie Vedder @ Chicago Theatre - 6.28.11
    PJ20 - 9.3.11
    2013
    Wrigley Field - 7.19 / Pittsburgh - 10.10 / Buffalo - 10.11
    Philadelphia 2 - 10.22 / Portland - 11.29 / Spokane - 11.30
    2014
    Amsterdam - 6.16 & 6.17 / Milan - 6.20
  • Brooklyn 1. I know I will be alone on this, but of the 6 shows I went, that is the one I am most looking forward to hearing.

    You aren't alone.
I was NOT even there, and just relooking at the setlist ...
    you got:
    Dissident
    Why Go
    Let The Records Play
    Chloe \ Crown
    Spin The Black
    Wasted & Reprise
    Sonic Reducer
    Sleight of Hand
    Eruption
    Infallible

    all in one show.
To reiterate what so many have said, though.
ALL these boots are going to be fucking amazing.
Only went to Charlottesville and Charlotte.
While i thought Charlottesville was a superior LIVE experience,
I'm quite tempted to suggest Charlotte will make a better bootleg.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

If you're only doing one, I'd do Charlottesville, based on the setlist.

Personally I'm dying to hear the crowd on the Hartford boot.

Was at 8 shows this leg. Charlottesville is my boot to get. Little Wing? Game over.
  • the sets from most of, if not all of the shows, so far are going to make it hard not to buy them all

Exactly. Already made the conscious decision that I'll be buying the entire 2013 tour. And PJ finds yet another way for me to spend my money on them.

I think most of these boots will be incredible. Charlottesville is my best recommendation as far as I can tell for leg 1. Charlotte may hold up well on boot, but was certainly not a better show. For CVille to have so many rarities and tour debuts, it was surprisingly tight.
    2008: Bonnaroo
    2010: Bristow
    2012: Atlanta
    2013: Charlottesville, Charlotte

Totally agree. Someone posted a youtube link to an audience recording of Philly Night#2 show and I'm totally blown away by it. It is beyond what I can imagine and it is not even at the highest in the lists of people who have seen multiple shows. I cannot even imagine how a show can be better than that one and people say there are better ones.

With all due respect to Gleason factor, I might skip the Vodoo festival bootleg maybe.
What's your part, who you are?

    2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
    2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
    2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin
