Replacement Lightning Bolt jacket question?

I am glad that everyone is getting a prompt response to their LB lp issues. I we able to get my lp replaced, which I am satisfied with. Now I need to get the lp jacket replaced. Here is a response I got. H any one else heard anything?

I asked the vinyl replacement place about replacement jacket and sleeve and I got this answer :

" We have received your E-Mail and apologize for the inconvenience. A replacement vinyl will be sent to you early next week.
Universal is only replacing the LP not the cover, the LP will ship in a generic cover. If you need a new cover please contact the fan club.

  • I emailed them over a week ago about my vinyl. No response. Should I assume I'm getting a replacement, or email them again?

    I got the vinyl but was told to contact 10C for a replacement cover. To me the damaged cover was manufacturer error not 10C! So not sure why they are pawning off replacement on 10C.

    We are aware that because of the high quality and delicate nature of the special packaging on the vinyl you may be experiencing one or more of the following issues with either the vinyl being damaged, the inner sleeves being torn, or the gatefold ripping on the center seam. If you are in receipt of an album with any of the above defects, please send an email to UMG Customer service at: <!-- e --><a href="mailto:fisherscustsvc@umusic.com">fisherscustsvc@umusic.com</a><!-- e --> with either a receipt of purchase or a photograph of the damage you are experiencing. Once notified, replacement vinyl will begin shipping the week of October 28th. If you require a replacement on the packaging, please be advised that this will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks as parts of the packaging are made by hand.

    Probably a mix of both. I can't imagine that every record made it to 10c unscathed, but it's pretty likely that the seam splits and stuff like that could've happened between 10c and customer, especially given their history. If 10c was in a rush to get the, out and overlooked some packaging flaws that's on them
