Interesting article where the singer of a very well respected punk band (Converge) talks very openly about how his feelings for Pearl Jam have changed over the years, and his thoughts on the new album.

Do yourself a favor and take 5 minutes to read it. Really interesting perspective.

koolio. i read in an article somewhere that bands that emerged in the late 90s- early 200s that were embarrassed to include pearl jam as an influence of their band because at the time PJ had just released binaural and riot act. and those albums obviously weren't well received well by the mainstream.

and im thinking to myself, who's embarrassed now?? all those bands have broken up and faded away and pj are still here and still relevant.

Thanks for the share, converge in my opinion are the most original, heavy and humble bunch of musicians around. This article makes me happy. If you like your metal or hardcore punk check out the album 'axe to fall'

I think that is why this article means so much to me. He is a well respected musician/artist who was very open and honest about his feelings towards the band. He articulates his feelings behind the music better than any "Music Critic" can in my opinion...
