65 miles on I-84E to Connecticut on a Friday afternoon? What type of trouble am I in for?

Btw I asked this one before but now I'm being more specific :). Any replies are greatly appreciated.

Two weeks ago, we drove to Hartford from northern NJ on a Friday afternoon, leaving ca. 3:00. It was supposed to be a 2h20m drive -- we got there at 6:30.

I'm nervous about Friday, yes I am.

While it took longer than expected you still would have made the show in plenty of time. What time are you planning on leaving tomorrow? I'm in Westchester NY so my commute will be like 45 minutes shorter.

May I chime in for a word of advice?
I hear theres construction galore and I remember n my past trips many years ago
    there was construction everywhere.

I'm coming from one of the most southern points of NYC.
Can anyone give advice on the best route?

My iPhone pulled up 3 routes :
*I-95 ( I know this is NOT the way to go ) 2 hrs 31 minutes.
    *I-91 North 2 hrs 32 minutes
    *CT-15N 2hrs 37 minutes
Im just looking for a nice flow- dont care if it is 3 minutels longer. :)
    Thanks in advance !

When are you planning to leave? I mean, I took 15 to New Haven this summer, driving late morning, and it was a breeze.

The thing I've noticed about traffic tie-ups in CT is that they seem random. Does 511ny give you road conditions for CT? Or is there a similar service for CT (e.g., we have 511NJ)? Your best bet might be to check that as you go.

Then again, he says he has had PJ in his head non-stop since Monday night, and I've had three or four emails from him today in which he is drawing up his dream setlist, so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope he works some magic on his calendar and we get on the road by 3:30.

So, looks like there are a bunch of lots surrounding this venue?? Is tailgating not a thing? That's what my friends and I were planning on doing...is there anywhere to do this?
I doubt you can tailgate in those lots.
I know the lot in front of the entrance, right off the highway, you can.
Thanks for that! I know where I'll be!

Question. Staying at Hilton. Is there any free parking lots nearby besides the garage next door that charges $18
