    yeah i work in sports medicine. rib injuries in a baseball player are a serious problem. when there is trauma to the ribcage the intercostal muscles in between the ribs spasm and there is no good way to get them to stay loose. especially in baseball when you stand around for 15 min then you might have to field a ball and throw it hard somewhere. the rotation forces are murder on the ribcage muscles. add to that the forces involved with a fast, explosive baseball swing, and these bruised rib issues take longer to heal. if he comes back, he might be able to only hit from one side of the plate depending on where the injury is. i hope he is alright.

    I heard a handful. Future Days, GTF, Let the Records Play, maybe a couple others. Not nearly as many as I expected with the way they plugged it here. Probably saving it for the big Sirens montage with the winner.

    I'm a UK baseball fan,followed Red Sox since 86.

    As Peavy started the 1st inning I thought uh oh. Buchholz seems a bust. Sox aren't hitting.

    And with mlb.tv barely get a sniff of PJ tunes cos no ads etc.

    Obstruction call? I agree with the call. But idk if i agree with it to win the game... thats like winning a football game on the last play because you committed a defensive penalty.
