Fox News stupidly bashing Eddie Vedder over gun comments

The first guy TOTALLY misrepresents Vedder's comment - if he think that Vedder is talking about security guard or is even ACTUALLY wishing harm on people for owning guns he is seriously deluded.

Then the second guy doesn't even try to argue in an intelligent manner and instead decides to "reinforce" how wrong Vedder is by bashing the way he sings.

Can't believe people watch this shit, and the fact that these guys are even on air is a travesty

Vedder's comments were not out of line and I share the same sentiments as he does regarding gun culture in the US.

Thankfully this is true for the most part.
  • You know, its kind of funny....

Ed answered a question honestly, that he was asked in an interview promoting his album.

The talking heads on the show have a self serving conversation abut the quote, they get to mock him, try to belittle him, and end it all with "Who even cares what Eddie Vedder has to say..."

Well Fox News...YOU are the ones who made it news by putting it on your show!

Who Cares? YOU DO! Don't act like he is a nobody because obviously he caught your attention.

Regardless of your opinion about what Ed said in that interview, you have to at least acknowledge that was a stupid segment...that's all I got. ;)
    here for the music...

Ed didn't say his point very clearly. I don't really care one way or the other but if he was quoted correctly in the HuffPo article he kinda asked for the backlash.

Yeah he defiantly should have worded that differently, but if you take 2 seconds to think about what he was saying it's clearly not what he meant. Those vultures just hear "wish harm" and have a field day.

Yeah, but there are plenty of celebrities that have bodyguards with guns but are against guns.

Libs twist words of conservatives all the time too. Goes both ways.

  • Daddy's rifle in my hand
    felt reassurin'
    He told me,
    Red means run, son,
    numbers add up to nothin'
    But when the first shot
hit the docks I saw it comin'
Raised my rifle to my eye
    Never stopped to wonder why.
    Then I saw black,
And my face splashed in the sky.

    Shelter me from the powder
    and the finger
    Cover me with the thought
    that pulled the trigger
    Think of me
    as one you'd never figured
    Would fade away so young
    With so much left undone
    Remember me to my love,
    I know I'll miss her.
    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

The most classless thing was the joke about Cobain. I couldn't care less about peoples views on guns because their views aren't mine, but making a joke about a dead guy is about as low as you can get; especially when the dead guy was friends with the topic of discussion.

    *DISCLAIMER*
I'm all for jokes about death/race/age/gender/and so on, but there's a time and place for everything and live on television, trying to conduct a *serious* *debate*, is not one of them.
