Wow that was cool, Grilled Cheese was pretty into it! Did Eddie give him that guitar for real or was he giving it to him to get him off the stage, lol?

Exactly! Grill looked like he was about to lose it when Vedder gave him that guitar. He was like, for real, for me, really !?!?!?! I read on a Pittsburgh site, that Vedder was hanging out with Grilli and Morneau and Cole one night and were up pretty late talking baseball.

    Story:
Pearl Jam didn't even play Pittsburgh on the "Backspacer" tour and hasn't been here since 2006. This time around, the band is doing a five-day residence in the Burgh, in advance of the "Lightning Bolt" tour that opens Friday night at Consol Energy Center. PJ is rehearsing there this week, and getting around town in the evening.

Bassist Jeff Ament was seen at the Nine Inch Nails concert on Wednesday night.

Singer Eddie Vedder has been in more of a baseball mood. He flew in Monday night, just after the Pirates-Cardinals playoff game, and had dinner at the Roberto Clemente Museum in Lawrenceville with Steve Blass, Bill Mazeroski, Jason Grill and Sean Casey, who set up the gathering. Later in the evening, Gerrit Cole and Justin Morneau stopped by as well.

"[Eddie's] a huge baseball fan," said Duane Rieder, who created the museum. "He’s a Cubs fan, but he’s rooting for the Pirates all the way now."

Vedder stayed at the Museum till 2 a.m. Monday night talking baseball with the pros, and went back to the museum on Wednesday for more wine and conversation.

"He played his music and told us how he wrote the words for this song and that song," Rieder said. "He talked about who he’s friends with and Obama. His stories are insane. He's just an unbelievable person. I've met a lot of people in my life, but he's one of the most good-hearted, down-to-earth people."

I'm also a huge baseball fan. But to me that dude looked completely out of place on stage with PJ. Giant jock baseball dude running all over the place.

So will Grilli be on the boot or will they edit what he said out of it?

It was pretty awkward... Definitely time to get off stage when Jeff has to run around you to get to his mic....
