Lightning Bolt CD Glitch

First let me start by just saying that I love the album. It arrived a few days ago as I was heading out the door. I opened up, threw it in my car stereo and took off down the road blasting the stereo. The album sounded great for the first 10 songs.

When I got to Yellow Moon, the CD started to skip and have digital breakup. The skipping begins at the 2:03 mark. It lasts for about 16-17 seconds and then goes away and the rest of the song plays fine. No matter what I am doing...it skips at that spot and for about the same time. Sometimes it's a second or two shorter...but always starts at the same spot.

I didn't hit any bumps in the road. I tried pulling out the CD...putting it back in and just listening to it while parked. The same thing happened at the same spot. The rest of the album seems to play just fine in my car. No issues at all. When I put the CD in my computer at home, Yellow Moon played just fine.

I have never had an issue with any other CD in my car. I just wanted to see if anyone else is having a similar issue. I am not sure if it's my CD or my stereo or a combination. I need to check it in another CD player but I don't have access to one right now. I plan to do that this weekend in a friend's car. I will post any updates. If anyone else is having the same issue, let me know.

    No sonic glitch on mine. Only defect is on my display as to which track is playing, Getaway is spelled 'Getwaway". Not sure if intentionally misspelled as Faithfull should be Faithful or whether somebody really messed it up. I'm guessing unintentional.

    Only other glitch being "Of the Earth" was missing.

    It's like that on the 10C download of the album too. :lol:

    Ha...I hadn't even noticed that. Mine is spelled wrong also...lol. Oh well. I am hoping that there's just something that my car stereo doesn't like on that one song and that it's not an actual problem with the CD. I might also try burning another CD if there are no other issues in my friend's car.

    Friend of mine said the CD wouldn't play in her car at all, but played on her DVD player at home.

    bought it today and played it in my truck, only got thru the first 3 songs before I got out, but everything was good

    Yeah...all but Yellow Moon play for me just fine. Odd that just that one song won't play...but it sounds fine in my computer and if I pull an MP3 from the CD...it sounds fine too.

    I haven't played my CD yet, but my 10c download mp3 doesn't skip.

    listened to it twice back to back yesterday and found no problems on my cd

    Well I took the CD with me in my buddy's car as we drove to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning play yesterday. I figured it was fitting to listen to Lightning Bolt on the way to the Lightning game. Anyway, no issues with the CD at all. All songs played fine including Yellow Moon. There must be just some issue that my car CD player doesn't like. Maybe I will just have to get a new car...lol.

    Not got my ten club one yet but the one I bought from a local record store plays fine

    I know right? Well my car is a 2003 and I usually make a mixed MP3 disc that will play in my CD player. My car doesn't have the ability to store MP3s or to sink up to a smartphone etc. My next car will...but until then...I am stuck with CDs...in my car.

    Mine has a weird glitch....there is some country version of a Uke song that somehow made it onto the album!!
