"Got to the arena around 8:45 am...."

Amazing how some people are so bothered by other people sitting in a line. Thought I had issues. Is there anything more innocuous than sitting in a line?

I have no issues at all with people waiting in a line. When those same people start trying to invent rules for everyone else in GA because they stood in said line, i start to have a problem.

I don't see the problem with lining up either. If you want to be early to get the rail just do it, it's not like you're hurting anybody. The number system only matters to those people anyway, once it gets to over 150 there's no point to it anymore. Not a fan of those multiple entrances, but so far it seems to have gone relatively smoothly. Or the major uproar hasn't been posted yet.
  • Got to the venue at 6:00 due to traffic, picked up the tickets, and went in to grab something to eat, made it to the floor at 7:20 and was still only 30 feet back with a perfect view. I don't see the reason to ruin your whole day waiting unless you just NEEEED to be on the rail.

Very true. I didn't go in until after 7 and there were no lines; and with the pit being so small were already so damn close even in the back of it. plus there was a ton of extra space. i had plenty of space to rock my face off.

Can anyone tell me where the entrance to the GA section was? Only one?

Nice...two great posts about why you shouldn't get all hot and bothered worrying about standing in line all day.

So how many people do you all estimate were in the pit for both shows? How far back did it go (in feet or in imaginary rows of chairs?).

Just curious what I'll be dealing with, as for the SD show I'm bringing my wife and will definitely hang in the back. For LA#2, with a bud, if I feel the need to get a little closer, I will just line up at 6:25 PM instead of 6:30. ;)

My wife and I arrived at the a little after 10:00 am (she actually wanted to get there earlier) knowing what we were in for as far as waiting in line all day. As far as we knew there was one entrance for GA, that's what security was telling everyone that asked. The people around us were all super cool and generous. We were all told that at 2:30 they were going to start letting us in, 10 at a time, to go to will call and get our tickets.. There was definitely miscommunication between security and whoever gives them info.. I don't think that they knew about the 10c wristbands, and security thought that they were the ones that would be banding us. They asked us to please use the honor system when we came back out and took our places back in line.. The whole 10 people at a time thing never happened since most people had a partner and only one person had to be there to get the tickets.. It went really smooth regardless.. There was also a plan to let GA in at 6:20 which never happened and probably would have caused a major surge in the crowd..Once the line started moving it went pretty quick and straight forward, down some steps and through a hall way with security slowing people down the whole way.. There was never really a need for a mad dash.. Anyway.. Stone side, my wife was on the rail, I was behind her. I apologized ahead of time to the people behind me if I got in their way, and wanted them to know that I was more than happy to make room if they wanted to move up or if my big head was in their way...This was our first time being front row and it made every second of waiting around worth it. We got to see and hear the band that we love put on one hell of a show with a bunch of people that seemed to be having a blast... Even the security guy on Stones side was dancing and having a good time.
    I ain't got no fly'n shoes..
