Yup, you're right,,,
I had been in 3 concerts before this one, but what made this one sooooo fucking special was not the setlist -which was cool though-, but the powerful and commited performance, and such an unbelievable audience.
I think also that Eddie was kinda pissed sometimes because he wanted the concert to be flawless, so, when he couldn't express himself in Spanish he got a bit mad, and when he forgot his guitar to start "It's OK", he got a waaay mad,,,
Anyway, it was just an amazing performance. I went with a friend from the US who liked the band, but wasn't a fan at all, and he has gone to all this concerts of different rock bands and he told me this was the best concert ever because of that,, the band just put a great performance together and the audience was full of energy,, he loved the lighters thing, well, I guess we all did.
Yeah, I hope this could be a new DVD, you have to watch it for yourselves.0 -

i'm so glad all you south americans finally got your chance to see pearl jam... awesome shows, awesome reviews...
i'm sure the band had a blast as well!
psy, bro, I dunno but I thought a lot about you this weekend -the whole SMC, but especially you.... don't really know why, maybe 'cause I know we both love so many bands... but you know, the whole thing that surrounds PJ is particularly special... I really hope to have the chance to see a few shows in Europe next year, it's like a personal commitment... and hope to have the chance to meet you, as I was lucky enough to meet so amazing persons this unforgettable weekend.
Really, you gotta hear the boot, man!!
Cheers!Stone: Thanks for the pick and the night of complicity, you rock!

Everything was way too amazing, Blood, state, rocking, MFC averything was amazing
I support the idea of a DVD, well maybe not just this concert but all of the SA and Mexico Tour it would be perfect, and by the way I saw a crew with a camera just behind the court bar maybe it´ll be a DVD lets just hope so0 -
Oh, by the way,, the posters were sold out pretty early, so I couldn't get one,, anybody wanna trade one? Please let me know, or at least can anyone post an image of it? I couldn't even see it0

I say this as a guy from mid-America who can't afford travelling and ticket costs so he just buys a couple of official bootlegs in anticipation of a full-blown North American tour in '06.
To be honest, since this is the end of the Central/South American tour I was expecting one of those signature epic, long shows. It's not that I think this is a bad set or anything. It's just that I've been putting off buying any more bootlegs after Buenos Aires 1 and 2 and Sao Paolo 1 because I thought these last couple of shows would deviate more from the standard South American setlists (not necessarily the order songs played in, but the actual songs played). They really didn't. Nothingman and Hard to Imagine are nice though.
However, the guys aren't in their twenties anymore and the amazingly energetic setlists they have been playing on this last leg of their '05 tours has got to be exhausting for them. So, I understand the slightly shorter shows. (After all, the one time I did see them in '03 they only played 22 songs [Kansas City] but it is still the best concert I've ever been to.) With them wanting to play these kinds of setlists knowing that they are heading back into the recording studio I am all the more intrigued by the forthcoming new album now.
That all said, I hope I didn't disparage the experiences of anyone who was actually at these Mexico concerts.
MAN, YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE NOT ONLY DECEMBER 9 OR 10, BUT ALSO IN JULY 2003, THE BOOTLEGS DID NO REALLY REFLECT THE ENERGY THOSE TWO SHOWS GENERATED, THE MOMENT THEY PUT ON THE MEXICAN FOOTBALL JERSEY THE PUBLIC WENT MORE CRAZY THAN I'VE SEEN EVER!!
I DON`T KNOW HOW LARGE THE AUDIENCES WERE IN THE PREVIOUS SOUTH AMRECAN SHOWS BUT IN HERE THEY PLAYED FOR NERALY 40,000 PEOPLE IN THE 9 AND 10 DECEMBER SHOWS AND FOR ALMOST 8,000 MORE IN MONTERREY, AND I AGREE WITH ED WHEN HE SAID "IT´S MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN WE REMEMBER..."0 -

My favorite thing about the shows....
I just happened to be staying at the same hotel as the band, met most of them, picture with Jeff and Mike. I felt like a 5 year-old.
WHen I came down the stairs from my room and saw them in the lobby I about fell over.
Great shows...first night had a better crowd and energy though.hippiemom = goodness0 -

I waited over 10 years for Pearl Jam to come to Mexico and Finally saw them. I got really good seats, and for the encores i manages to get all the way to row # 5. I was about to get kicked out by security when this gorgeous girl hugs me and says i'm with her.
It definitely Rocked!!!0 -
Loco argentino. No tienes ida lo chingon que fue cantar "Esta Bien" con ellos en español. ya pasaron unos dias y sigo algo afónico. El concierto estuvo increible.
(quick translation)
Crazy argentine, you have no idea what singing "Esta bien" in spanish felt like. A few days have passed and I'm still speaking pretty mute. The concert was incredible.0 -

I missed Pearl Jam last time they came to Mexico, but i was so stoked after having been to many shows in the States and in Europe to finally see them here in Mexico where i grew up. I went with a bunch of other ten club members, my best freinds from Guadalajara, and the vibe was amazing. The first day we had great seats, and the set list was great, yet i honestly thought it was a bit commercial. I had never been to a show (let alone two) that played, Black, Jeremy, Alive, Even Flow, Daughet, ELderly Woman etc all in one night. The second night the set list was extremely similar from the night before...i was hoping it would a lot different. But I forgot about all of that after hearing Hard to Imagine....having been to so many shows i had never heard this song, or even dreamed about them playing it. Oh yeah, Man of the Hour was amazing as well! Just when you thought Eddie's voice couldn't go lower.... And when Eddie sang "esta bien", we all flipped, i got giddy like a little girl! The band was awesome, there was incredible energy, and i had never seen Mike so into it: guitar behind his back, neck, and he even jumped down into the crowd and ran right by me! The crowd was great, the lighters flickering while playing Balck was unbelievable. There was not one person sitting down. Thanks to everyone there who made these nights incredible. The concerts ROCKED!0
