    My initial thoughts as well!! Not so much lyrically, but melodically for sure...but let me be straight ...its actuallya everything I loved about that old CheapTrick song. This song I'm sure, will become just as anthemic for PJ as it did CT.

    On my 7th spin. Such a good turn. Can't wait for the rest of LB. When's this fucking clock going to hit zero?

    The video version of the song is different from the album version and I might like the video version better. Stone's guitar effect is like the guitar in Elton John's Candle in the Wind and is totally appropriate. Now I'm totally hoping they play it in LA2

    There's a Weezer song called Glorious Day from the Green Album. Some of Eddie's vocals on Sirens remind me of this song. This is not a good thing. I love Weezer. I love Pearl Jam. But they belong in two distinct camps in my brain.

    Just watched the clip a moment ago and I'm definitely not a fan of the song.

    I love PJ's slower songs as well, but this one is way too schmaltzy for me! The way Ed sings these lines (changing his pitch) is very cringeworthy:

    My soon to be 14 year old thought that it had a Wheels feel to the song by the Foo Fighters. I thought that this was a pretty cool comparison!

    Don't flame me for this but the beginning of the song reminds me of Adam Sandlers "Medium Pace".

    Why flame? That's a certified classic. I can definitely see where Ed may have drawn lyrical inspiration from it as well.
