My life with Pearl Jam
The first time I saw the band live was in 91,in Normal,Il They opened for another one of my favorite bands The Chilli Peppers, get Ten that month too. Ever sence then Pearl Jam has been with me on my seemingly infinate jorney of life, lost loves, lost family, helping me form in a way my political, and philisophical views. Every time I thought my life was over, brought on by devorice, and realy any emotionaly devistating moment, I could put on a Pearl Jam alblum and work through it, They have become my sound track of life, weither it be Given to Fly, or Elderly woman behin a counter in a small town,or unthought unknown, these songs provide me with a narative, gives me a path, because just like everyone else, Im just thumbing my way to heaven. In closing if anyone reads this and talks to anyone in the band. Thank you guys, Icouldnt, and cant do it with out you.
Much Love!

That would have been in Bone Student Center / Braden Auditorium.
Born and raised in Bloomington, IL myself. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get to see them til '95. To this day it still haunts me that I didn't see that show on ISU's campus. Care to share any specific memories of that show with us?

I remember it was the first time I got realy stoned with mt cousin,we both grew up in Lincoln and we would always go to campus, so our first stop was the old apple tree record store, then I realy found out how it was to be stoned. I remember when Pearl Jam came out,I think the played before the Smashing Pumpkins, they only played 8 0r 9 songs, but they brought the place down,we were in the uper bowl, but just how passionate they played, you could realy see they wanted to be there,The Pumpkins, and the Chilli Peppers were awsome, but they had their own deamons theye were fighting, Pearl Jam was just freash,,,,shit I was only 16 at the time. I just knew that it was a berth of something, in me, and in a band I would follow for the rest of my life, noone comes and plays at ISU anymore, I saw Rage against the machine and Cyprus Hill there, that was an awsome show too. I just remember it to be a very epic time in my life, and also something I can gloat about...yep! saw them in 91!
Much Love.

I first started listening to Pearl Jam in late 1992 (my senior year in high school). Ten became the soundtrack to my second semester of 12th grade. I graduated June 1993. That Fall, after they won video of the year for "Jeremy," Pearl Jam actually played at my school (San Jose State), but I wasn't lucky enough to get a ticket in time. Vs. (originally titled Five Against One), was released that October, and from then I was hooked. It would be until November 1995 when I would actually see them perform (w/ Ramones). The next show was two years later when Pearl Jam opened for the Rolling Stones up in Oakland in the pouring rain. Sporting their rain gear, they opened with I Got Id, followed by Hail, Hail.11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/090
