Words Seem Out Of Place - Melbourne 3/17/95

And there's another one that always gets stuck in my head but I forget what show it is from....gonna have to go dig through the boots to figure it out. Eddie just chants something repeatedly over a fairly heavy riff. Pretty sure it's 95...

On another note, do you guys think these are totally improvised on the spot. Most that I've heard seem pretty structured. Do they usually show up in the written setlists?

Always wondered this as well. I think some must be jammed out in the studio/soundcheck and then they include them in the show. Some are clearly done on the spot. The one at Nagoya for example is about 5 minutes long and sounds like a pretty structured one, if they just came up with that on the spot thats immense!

yeah, I've wondered this. Obviously, Falling Down and No Jeremy were rehearsed, but some of them seem like a loose riff they may have had and just play it out, as sometimes Ed seems a bit lost in what to sing, and sometimes you'll hear a bad note on one of the guitars, but I can't imagine playing in front of thousands of people something you're making up on the spot. that would be crazy.

There´s a very nice instrumental improv from the Salzburg 00 boot I believe it is. Just some good chords there

This one is my favourite plus one from Japan 95 (Osaka?) that prededed Immortality. Some other good mentions here though... ;)

Yep, as a bonus track, titled Interlude.

Also showed up in some of Mike's between song noodling at some earlier shows. It's an old progression no doubt.

    it would be?

The little ditty that Eddie plays at the beginning of this clip before breaking into the main Immortality riff:

I've heard him play it a few times before Immortality and think it's a gorgeous little melody . . . would love if he expanded on it...

That and the "Hold On" improv from Boston '94, right before Jeremy (unless I'm mistaken that is is NOT an improv????. Always loved that tune too and it would sound better if recorded in studio for sure!
