Was looking at setlist stats.

Low Light appeared on Yield; released February 3,1998

First played Oct 21, 2001 in Mt. View, CA.

Has only been played 38 times total.

Poor Jeff...he was probably like "What did I do? Was it something I said?"
"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

I was at both of the Bridge School shows in 2001 and Low Light was hands down the High Light of the shows!

When I heard on the first day they sound checked it I was ecstatic!

Now why they never played Last Soldier after these shows I'll never know?
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

    they have their thing..

    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

I've heard Low Light at my last 2 shows, and it sounds great. I'm all for pulling out Thumbing My Way some more too :)

Low Light is one of my favourite Pearl Jam songs and my favourite from Yield; but it sounds terrible live. Ed's vocals are weak, the harmonies are awful, and it always seems like Mike messes up on the solo.
  • low light is one of the best pj songs. pure poetry, and ed sounds so vulnerable...

    Low Lightt

    First played 10-21-2001

Great song I've been fortunate to see 5 times, 3 times at my last 3 shows (Copenhagen, Missoula, Wrigley)

This. I have not heard a live version that even touches the studio version. It's difficult for the band to play live, like a lot of the tracks from Yield. I remember there being a conscious effort from the band to make the songs on Binaural ones that they could play live because of that.
