Fear not people of the sun.I heard from some live nation folks I do buisness with that indeed PJ is going to play southern dates in 2014 and although nothing is " finalized" yet that some venues (yes amphitheatres)have been told they are coming.think spring for more outdoor venues.

You guys get Charlotte and probably next swing ATL.I think the Tri Delta area won't see a show again for awhile if at all.Is Greenville/Anderson population comparable to Asheville/Hendersonville metro areas?

Just heard on FB that there's talks of San Antonio, Houston & Austin.
Still heresay at this point, but Dallas was a rumour (or strong suggestion from us!) for awhile before our dreams came true. I'm gonna go ahead and get stoked for it. :corn:

Looks like I'm going to wind up at that hated facility in the Woodlands... :fp: .... oh well.... A trip to Exxon Mobile City is ok every once in a while a guess...
BTW, all... busy with work, and just had a boys weekend at Lollapalooza in Chicago.... haven't had much time lately to check in...
have I missed anything?
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Hey Lazlo as a former San Diegan, I would read this thread at times and feel for the south. Now as a resident of Houston, TX. I join in unity with y'all.
Come on Pearl jam, play the south. We aren't so bad...
This reminds me of the old Chris Farley\Adam Sandler skit where he's saying "Just let him work, he's a good boy..." or something like that.

Welcome to the thread. And to Houston!! we are happy to have more Houston advocates here.

for the 4th largest city in america that has been growing at a rate of almost 1000 people/day for the last three months... I'm surprised there's not more of us.

I hope those 2014 Texas grumblings are true. And if they're looking at outdoor shows, the new Austin360 Ampitheatre is an awesome place to see a show. Saw the Avett Brothers there a couple of months ago - for those who haven't been there, the venue is on the lawn of the Formula 1 race track. Beautiful place to see a show.
And Shep, I'm 100% with you on Houston - MUCH prefer Toyota Center. The Woodlands is such a pain to get in and out of. But at this point, I'd gladly drive up there for PJ.

Austin 360 is also Live Nation so it seems like a natural fit. Just keep it early in the spring to avoid heat stroke!
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
