    Good luck w/ that.

Maybe we'll get something special by having everybody shut the fuck up and listen to the show! Sorry, I'm still venting from last night. See ya Fri, can't wait!

I am happy just to go see ed solo and I know it sucks for cities that he hasn't been to. But I was thinking that these are his last shows and he does love Chicago that maybe there will be something will happen. If not, no big deal.

I heard that a certain 400lbs plus 10 club member will be in attendence for the Chicago shows....Just kidding :)

I hope for the sake for everyone and the lovely city of Chicago that this fat fuck decides to stay at home for these shows and cry himself to sleep for being the worlds biggest asshole.

    Anyways...

I'm sure It will be an amazing 2 nights. This is Eddie's hometown. Pearl Jam usually kicks major ass in Chicago...so I'm fairly certain that Chicago will get some pretty awesome shows.

Maybe the 2 best shows of the tour?

    We'll see.

Go Cubbies!! (Beat the Reds...No need for a Cubs Chant in Chicago tonight)
    Go Eddie!!

    Enjoy

I hope not. They've got a game tonight against the Reds :)
  • Im uber jealous not to be going to the Windy City... I did however catch the 8/4/08 show in Spanish Harlem~! Look out for those less played PJ tunes like trouble and hoax Eddie into playing a full version of Walk Hard for me~! If Liam flynn is stillplaying make sure to give him the respect he deserves as well..

This is one day in chicago where sports don't mean squat to me

It's best if you go planning to enjoy his marvelous performance without expectations. He is awesome and whatever he plays be happy! He did a really cool acoustic version of Porch in Milwaukee. We all got to get up and sing elderly woman.... He did a few covers that I didn't know. He did blackbird by the beatles and Into the Wild stuff, of course. My fav is Guaranteed. He rocked out at the end with Liam and his little honey that you can kiss for $1000. lol

Please refrain from yelling out. He wants to talk and tell stories and not be cut off by people who want to "get noticed." The pre-party makes for a long night of drinking so pace yourself. (Ut-oh, the mother in me is coming out. My kids are gone for 9 days so it's building up.... I can't help myself!!!!!)

    Have a great time !!!!! I know I will!!!!

I am so jacked up for tonight. I feel like this day of work is never going to end!! Being a white sox fan, I'm praying Ed doesnt play that god-awful Cubs song.

Wouldnt be surprised if we see players from both the cubs and sox since both teams are in town and dont have games tonight.....

Yeah, I want to wear my White Sox garb and if he plays that horrible Cubs song about how someday they'll go all the way I want to raise a sign that says "Like CCR sang, Someday Never Comes"

At least when the Cubs make it to the World Series they won't fucking lose on purpose to help some gamblers win money.

    Black Sox -- NEVER FORGET.

Joe Crede, of the White Sox, has World Wide Suicide played as he comes to the plate. If Aaron Rowand were still around they would probably be there together. Perhaps Buehrle will go with Joe.

I agree though, let's keep it to the music. Ed's probably at the Cub's game now...

  • If Ed does play "all the way" and Sox fans boo we should be in for a Milwaukee part two I believe.....hopefully tonight will go very smooth...I have some doubts though.

Crede is on the DL and is scheduled to start a rehab assignment in the minors, I doubt he is in town. He is one of my favorite players though, and it'd be nice to see him there.
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Crede is playing in a game with AAA Charlotte tonight so he wont be there. It's too bad, I could have possibly seen two of my heroes tonight.

I believe it was Ted Lilly with Wood at the Vic. I saw them outside and wished them luck. Wood was just coming back from the DL. Dempster may have also been there too I just didn't see him.

Ahh just looked up some old stats, and he did have a poor Closer outing:
Dempster served up four runs in the ninth inning on Friday in the Cubs' 6-2 loss to the Mets.
