    Tremendously great post, OP.

Nice to see the other side of the world has whiners and complete idiots, too (wouldn't the lower ticket price you're whining for allow more bogans to attend?). Infantile and stupid is no way to go through life.

Good job, OP saying that message much nicer than I just did.

Enjoy the shows and stop your bitching.

    Unnecessary.

She does :-) She's loves PJ, never misses them when they're in Sydney and if that means BDOx2 then so be it!

  • Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire are two of the best bands I have ever seen live. I am absolutely jealous! Those two would be my among my top festival headliners.

With that said, the misses and I will be looking to take a honeymoon around that time....

  • why does pj keep playing festivals after the denmark 2000 incident, im all for festivals but if its pj own festivals and they set the prices. im not in australian and goign, but feel bad for you guys. pj probably will only get to ply a 2 hour setlist, and it gonna probably be more best hitty than normal cause they are festivals. and the rest of the bands on the festival suck, i mean blur, snoop dogg, mudhoney? those 3 bands are alright, but besides mudhoney, i would not pay to go see snoop dog or blur myself. so i mean $180 for 1 ticket is a retarded expensive price, for a mostly shitty lineup. it not like it woodstock, and have nin, rhcp, metallica, tool or some other sick acts on it. i didnt even know blur was still together
  • this would be a sick lineup, my festival if i could get it together baby:

    pearl jam
    tool
    slash
    rush
    at the drive in
    bad religion
    nofx

1 day festival, that be fuckin sick :D

Your younger self would be ashamed at your attitude!

Never been to BDO but am now going, the unknown is what makes me nervous, but I am excited in the same breath.

You can't have a crack at people for how they feel though and expressing their opinion, we all have them, I admit I would much prefer a standalone PJ tour but will rock the f@ck out at this gig anyway!

PS: Hoping the 2 hour set is for real

At the Drive-In is one of my white whale bands. I may throw a Faith No More / Mr Bungle double set into your line-up as well.

As for the rest of the BDO line-up, well, Mudhoney are cool. But I would rather shave my undercarriage and take a bath in aftershave than spend a day with Blur, Arcade Fire etc. Pearl Jam will do me just fine for the day.

You are damn right $185 is a lot for money for 1 ticket.... really don't think I will be going...And I'm sure the $130.00 charged for the 09 concert was for 2 tickets right?

I have been to my fair share of BDO's and other outdoor festivals, however if there was more than 1 band I wanted to see I wouldn't have a problem... Just would prefer to see another PJ show with a truly PJ audience.

It's a little disappointing since I have been waiting since 1995 for my next PJ experience....oh well, maybe I might win some tickets....oh well as Ned Kelly said, such is life. I will get over it. ;)

Then travel to see them! Or move to the states.

WOW! Havent seen them since '95 and you are NOT going cos its 50-60 dollars too expensive!!! Enjoy the other music as well dip shit!
Get a grip! PJ are worth that money alone considering they are only going to be in OZ once every 4-5 years.
Petty complaints, nonsensical moaning and elitist attitudes really annoy me.
Worse thing and disappointingly there seem to be plenty of the people on the forum with these qualities.

Also lets get this straight. It's fine to post/express your opinion but that doesn't eliminate it from being a infantile comment. Some people need to told to grow up and that's precisely what people who are bitching and moaning about PJ's BDO announcement need to do.
Instead feel fortunate and show some gratitude when PJ rock out in all upcoming shows as if it is the last time you'll ever see them because that just may be the case.
