The timeframe is out of 10C's hands, they announced the pre-sale immediately after the festival announcement. The general public pre-sale starts tomorrow, today was the only possible day it could've happened.
Personally, I expected absolutely nothing from 10C for these dates, they've really impressed me with being able to arrange what they have.0 -

Ten Club is supposed to make it easier for the paid up members be organized & have money ready to buy tickets. I get home at 230pm to try & be in the pre sale & there is nothing on the website at all for this option. Has it sold out already? We have the password but there is nothing to say that the pre sale is on or sold out!!!!! The problem with now trying to buy in the general sale is I am not sure how many tickets are on sale & PJ could easily sell 40000-50000 just for them alone!!!!! I am lucky that money is not a problem but where was the warning to be able to buy in the pre sale? Luckily i am off Wednesday when they go on sale & if i cannot get tickets i will be fucking livid & the Ten Club will find that out!!!! Out of fucking order :nono:
there are available tickets for all the shows
go to the email 10c sent you, clik the link for the show-shows u want to go,pick how many tic want per show, enter the code, and then you see your shopcard..check out..
btw, most of us as i saw,got this email fropm 10c 24 hours ago
good luck
i think, they must not have limits to how ,many tix they have available for the preslae memebrs..they will have it open and sell as many as they can to memebrs, till general sale tomorrow
and the limit per member is 6 tix..thats great, cos isnt as usual only a pair"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".

I was also surprised that they could arrange a 10C pre sale- I was signed up to the BDO Membership for their pre sale as I did not expect anything from 10C for the BDO shows.
I think it shows that they do care, as this would have been part of the deal to play the BDO when they signed their contract, that 10C members get a seperate pre sale - Great stuff 10CI'll ride the wave where it takes me

It's 23 years old, Bro (well, it miss 1998). It's seen the biggest names in the business. Soundwave is great! Got Metallica? BDO got them in 2004. Splendour? Come on... a hipster paradise, and expensive as balls. Smaller festivals are cool, of course. But the BDO stands a lone as massive, consistent, and leads by example... hence why it's been around since 1992 (when Nirvana played BEFORE Violent Femmes and Yothu Yindi). Over 100 shows and counting.PJ - Sydney 1998; Sydney 2003; Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle 2006; Melbourne, Sydney 2009; Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney 2014.

People can say whetever they want. That's what a forum is!
I am not stressing about the BDO aspect. Sure, it's not perfect, and of course I would prefer a 3 night stand in my hometown in indoor arenas with perfect front GA, but I don't expect that every time they tour.
When the time comes, and they are about to walk on stage, I don't think too many people will be complaining. The shows will be superb. They always are.

We've been spoilt here by the band over the years, no doubt about that. From arena shows to 2009's stadium run, we've been blessed. As I said in another thread, when the North American tour was announced, I think many Aussies felt that a similar tour would follow here. That thought, along with the fact we have been spoilt in the past, meant when the BDO thing was announced, people feel disappointed. We're used to this AWESOME band doing stand-alone tours and experiencing these incredible concerts. The BDO thing came as a shock.
So, I can understand people wanting to vent. Some of the things written may be regretted now, or later. That is what happens when you react on emotion. And I don't think anyone should begrudge anyone for getting their shit out. Fuck me, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who hasn't needed to let off some steam at some point only to later take a few deep breaths and regain their clarity. I don't think they should be called out for it.
Because what I have noticed is that many people who took a negative approach (me included) have since bought tickets, showing that their love for Pearl Jam wins out in the end.
People saying the Bogan BDO thing is often just a throwaway line to a bigger picture. Some people just aren't comfortable in the festival environment. For others it could be financial and they won't be able to tour around with the band as they have in the past. Again, sometimes it comes down to just blowing off steam.
I get where you are coming from, just try and get where others are coming from as well. There is a lot of love for this band and sometimes we may take things too personally when it comes to them.0 -

I wasn't thrilled at first (I am not good in certain situations), but I have a ticket to Melbourne and Adelaide. Not seeing them would be something I would deeply regret.0 -

Ah yes, it's a funny world we live in. I am in for Melbourne and most probably Adelaide. Shit sleep last night thinking about pre-sales this morning, but I reckon I will sleep better tonight.0 -
I bought tickets out of necessity..ie no other choice.....rather than wanting to. The BDO sucks arse. I now regret not going in for the U.S tour. But it is what it is.0

Ty wrote:...how many of you "fans" have reacted to our favourite band coming to Australia to tour the nation on Australia's premier music festival, the Big Day Out.
So many people whinging about the type of crowd at the BDO, when I bet they haven't been to a BDO in years. I have. I have been to 11 since '99, and they have been fantastic days. I have seen some amazing acts in the early days of their careers (White Stripes on a sidestage in the arvo, same with Kings Of Leon, Death Grips last year).
Drunk bogans ruining it? I'd much rather some drunk dude standing next to me singing at the top of his lungs with his can of beer held high, yelling all the words to Alive or Given To Fly and wanting to hear Betterman next... than stand next to some grumpy 35 year old who feels like Pearl Jam have betrayed him by not playing 3 arena shows in their home city. Your younger self would be ashamed at your attitude!
So it's $185. It's steep, but you get to see some huge acts play full sets (Blur, Arcade Fire, Snoop Dogg), plus Mudhoney, Tame Impala and Cosmic Psychos! And from memory the last time PJ toured tickets were like $130 anyways, 4-5 years ago.
Pearl Jam have played festivals all over the world since their earliest days until Lollapalooza in South America this year. Fans have only been appreciative, in all instances! But us privileged Aussies... it's not good enough for us! We want them to recreate our best concert memory, start an "** Official Petition **" requesting some B-side, and play in our city to our timetable.
Ten Club couldn't announce it earlier due to being contracted to BDO. But they still arranged an exclusive pre-sale that started this morning and was a breeze to use. I bet no one had trouble getting tickets. No lottery. Just a password... and done! Tickets!
It's disheartening seeing a lot of people cry that they feel cheated by the band. Grow up. Don't go to the BDO. Easy. You have a choice. I, for one, will enjoy the hell out of it!
I need a break from this forum... it's a terrible place at the moment. Same with the Ten Club Members Facebook page... mostly a joke! Be grateful, people! Our favourite band is coming down under!

I disagree with most of this post. Forums are for expressing your opinions. I haven't posted on here probably since 09 tour so when I chime in once every 5 years to say that I think Big Day Out is shit and I am feeling very disappointed about this announcement I think that it is merited.
However I won't be one of those people constantly rambling about how they have been cheated as you said, I have already accepted it and will be making it my mission to try and see them overseas next year in a better atmosphere.
Maybe you need a break as you say, why do you think I never bother to sift through all this crap?"I dont question, our existence
I just question, our modern needs"0
