I second the Lucero nomination or I would also love to see Jason Isbell - his new album Southeastern is a must have.

+1. Soundgarden did this. Totally rocked. I don't even need a 4-5 hour show, just don't want to have to sit/stand through an opening act when I'm really there to see PJ. I'm old, I get tired :lol:

Although I suppose wouldn't mind too much if Joseph Arthur opened for them

    Sleater-Kinney reunion!!!
  • MMJ was the best I've seen short of Bad Religion. Either of those would work for me.

    Gaslight would be cool.

    The National would be better.

I've been digging this band called Pickwick lately. Different vibe, but still pretty good. They might work.
Hey, hey. My, my. Rock and roll can never die.

i've said this before and i'll say it again, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

although I just thought of a band that would be perfect to open up for PJ. They put out an album earlier this year. They haven't really toured in about 5 years (or so it seems) and they played PJ20.

This. The lead singer could do some duets with Ed too, her voice is unreal. Saw them open for the Offspring last year and they stole the show.

Fugazi? I wish. I've got $5 saved for their next show anywhere.

Gaslight Anthem would be the best opener ever. That said, saw one of the band members at Sasquatch this year watching Black Rebel...that would not be a shocking development whatsoever...or a disappointing one, for that matter. They played a great set.
