If Pearl Jam played an album in its entirety LIVE...

I've seen the Pixies where they played "Doolittle" from front to back, and Coheed & Cambria where they played "Second Stage Turbine Blade" in its entirety. Those shows were pretty damn epic, in my opinion
Now, I know PJ likes to keep looking forward, but (aside from "Ten," because we all know that would be the overwhelming response here...) which album would you love to hear Pearl Jam play live in its entirety?
For me, I'd love to hear them play "Vs." front to back...
You?
I couldn't agree more. If I were to pick one album to hear in it's entirety by Pearl Jam, it would be "Vs." It's my favorite PJ album hands down.2010: Mountain View, CA (10/23)

theres an aussie band that recently played their entire catalogue one album per night total of seven albums, i would love to see Pearl Jam do this with their catalogue but if i could only pick one itll be Vitalogy0

Either Vitalogy or Lost Dogs.“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." " (last words of Mark Sandman of Morphine)

A couple years ago The Cure played three nights in a row in NYC (I think it was at the Bowery) where they played their first three albums in a row in their entirety... Kinda like how Coheed & Cambria played their NYC Neverender set four nights in a row... man that would have been epic to see!
I'd buy a ticket immediately if PJ did the same thing some time - I wouldn't even care how much it'd cost... maybe if they did it at Alpine w/ 37,000 of their closest friends/fans...?

If I had to choose, I might just choose Lost Dogs because it would double the length of the show! .... Plus, it's awesome.
But really I'd take anything other than Backspacer and pretty much die of joy. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Dear Baby Jesus, please never let this person pick their set list. Amen(t).0 -
Imagine if one show, for no apparent reason, they opened a show with once and played ten all the way through...
Would you love it? Hate it?

I did this exact same thread in 2006, a couple of nights before they played the whole of s/t in order at a gig in Italy. 8-)
I would love to hear No Code from start to finish. Opening the show with Sometimes, Ed saying "we're doing an expeirement", people twigging after a couple of songs. No announcement they're doing it,it just happens. They could play Ole 24 times after that and it still would be the greatest setlist ever.

It would need to be to albums to complete the set.Styx just did it with Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight.
Ten and Riot Act(with Singles soundtrack songs and A cover) Would be a crazy good show and give you proper set length.
Ten and Vs also would be great with Above 2 Singles songs0 -

Vs. for me, with Vitalogy coming in a close second.
What are the chances we get Lightning Bolt in its entirety? They will be playing all of the LB songs this tour, just not in order or all of them every show in my opinion. Would be too restrictive of the loose set lists.7/19/13 - Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL

Wow. They did. I never realized that. Or if I did, I have forgotten it. All the way through, every song, right in the middle of the set.
That's actually pretty good run of songs to play live. I'm not usually an avocado fan, but that would be cool to see.
As far as playing an album front to back-
I would say Binaural would be my 1st choice. No Code my 2nd choice. I have an old boot CD of the
96 Showbox show in Seattle where they almost did this for No Code. Started off the set with the 1st four tracks, skipped smile, played some more out of order, and missed Around the Bend and I'm Open. But, it was close.0 -

It would definitely be Vs, but if was an average size set list then I would take Vs followed by Binaural and I would be a transdimensional space goat.Post edited by northerndragon onAnything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.0 -
I personally would not like to see them ever do something like this, although it would be kind of fun. I like the unpredictability of their sets, but if I had to absolutely choose one album to see them do this - I would choose No Code without question. Vs and Riot Act would be my second and third choices.Bristow, VA - 5.13.10

It was a memorable show. Took me a few songs before I realized what they were doing. The clear plastic seats there looked cool from the floor.AndySlash said:
