10 hour drive to Oklahoma City...

So because there is literally no tour dates where Pearl Jam comes around where I live, I did not try for the lottery about a week ago. But, I am going to try and buy a ticket or two for the general sale that comes up in a few days. And the nearest show towards me is in Oklahoma City which is still about a 10 hour drive from where I'm at. Of course I don't mind driving all that way for a PJ show, my only problem is that I'm still in college and while the show is on the weekend I still can't help but think that it's a little irresponsible of me to go on such a long trip while I'm in the middle of a semester.

Can anyone help with clearing my conscious on this??? :(

    Go...Scrounge up whatever you can and go...Sleep in your car if you have to..

    Agreed. Back in 98 when I was in school they added on some extra dates and I deceided to fly to Palm Beach from Green Bay, WI for the shows. Was too young to rent a car and too broke to get a hotel... wouldn't you know (at least back then) you only had to be 18 to rent a U-Haul. Rented a U-Haul truck to get around, and slept in the back for 3 days.

    Do it! I still regret many of the shows I didn't go to, and they were much closer than a 10 hr drive. I'll be driving past OKC from MN to hit Dallas first, then back up to OKC for the show the next night. :D

    Thanks a lot guys! And I think you're right, I would feel horrible about myself later on if I didn't end up going...I'm going to buy the tickts and see what happens haha! If i end up failing a test because of it, so be it! my GPA is already a 3.6 so it can't hurt that much!!! :lol:

    You have three months to prepare. Do all you have to do to make that weekend completely free from responsibility.

    Go with someone who will be fun to drive with and make sure you drive on plenty of rest. Wow, I sound like a parent :lol:.
