Wonder if this is gonna be something they do for each show on the tour?

“Power to the people man…. The real people, the people that work, not the people that sit in their towers, and try to run the whole thing, thinking that we’re too stupid to notice what they’re doing! They get us in our little holes, and our boxes, and our cages and they show us American Idol and American Gladiators and American …. blowjob, buttfuck, whatever. And everyone watches with baited breath. Oh, who’s going to get a blowjob tonight? What American’s going to get a blowjob tonight? When in reality, you could be getting one yourself instead of watching the fucking TV, I don’t know. I digress. I’m going to get a guitar. But we were just talking in the back, and we were thinking that maybe uh, on the strength of a night like this, and uh, really, uh, so you understand how much we appreciate it, we were thinking that instead of uh, waiting 2 years or even, uh, after we finish the next record, maybe just next summer, we could come back and play, just a few places that we’ve been to and this would be one of them. And hopefully even in a year, the world will be a little more straightened out.” -- Pearl Jam, Alpine Valley '03.

It does seem a very poor decision to be selling those shirts now.

they didn't play all the songs on there, so if someone sees your shirt and says....
    "How was Yellow Ledbetter?"
your response: "I don't know they never played it"
    "How was Alive"
"I don't know they never played it"
"How was Man Of The Hour?"
"I don't know they never played it"
    etc, etc, etc, etc.................

I do, but have no idea how to put on here.

I'm gonna make my own shirt with the proper set list and save a ton. Make some and trade em at cost...
  • RE4790RE4790 Posts: 826
Can someone type it out? Just take the setlist from the other section of the forum and add what was on the shirt?
  • I'd love to know what was cut out due to the rain as well.

I did not read the leaked setlist thread before the Wrigley show. I thought I'd check it afterwards to see how accurate it was, but now cannot find any mention of it.

Is it obvious that this shirt was the reason the setlist leaked? They needed a design to print well before the show?

Besides the instagram picture, which you cannot zoom, I haven't seen any pictures of the shirt on here which kind of surprises me.

I think these shirts are a cool idea, but I didn;t even know about it because my phone died.

Oh well. I guess I'm a broken record but I think a presale of all merch for 10C ticket holders would be reallt great for the fans.

Just think of it like a DVD with deleted scenes.

I think that is a FANTASTIC idea! They were going to play them anyways, right?

The scratched songs... should be all "Live" recordings... none of them performed on a stage... all in studio... or backstage at shows... all extended jams (equal the length of the rain delay)... all performed to a camera, as if you were sitting there in front of them...

That would make for some GREAT bonus footage ... FOR A "WRIGLEY 2013" DVD! :D

Of course, in hindsight, what they did was great enough... as far as the shirts go... a bit much maybe, I would agree.

I'm one who has defended the band and the club on almost every single issue.

That being said, the idea of selling setlist shirts is not something that feels right to me. Maybe if they print them up during the show after having just gotten a list where the ink is still drying, but clearly in this case it meant that the setlist was essentially complete days in advance.

I guess I just like the thought of the list changing right up to and during the show.

(and I know there are songs on the shirt that weren't played and others that aren't there that were, but I'm still not a big fan of the idea).

I avoided ebay because I didn't want to be sickened by enterprising merchandise flippers prospering.

Was one of the stragglers to leave wrigley around 3am and they still had a ton of these shirts so I wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up in the merch section sooner or later. This was at the trailer outside by the Home plate will call.

I picked up an extra one in case I wanted to trade for a poster later since I had no luck buying 1 of the 4 posters that were sold out everywhere I was.

Yeah, there wasn't even a line fr them when I left. They also had plenty of stickers, windbreakers and a couple other shirts.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
