Wrigley = near flawless setlist???
Seriously, I could not have asked for a better setlist!!! IMO it was almost perfect for the night/occasion. Not only did Ed contribute songs that relate heavily to the area/stadium, but the band busted out a whole slab of gems and rarities!!! Hold On, All Night, AND THEY EVEN PLAYED BUGS!!!!!!
and then they played 2 new and, again IMO, amazing songs from the new record!!! (my favorite being Lightning Bolt). But what really impressed me was the length. It wasn't that it was unusually long, cause they've played longer sets than 32 before. But it was impressive that after a two hour delay from the weather they still managed to "kick out the jams" with a full can of whoopass. Overall, you could not have asked for a better set of songs and an absolute amazing night!!! Pearl Jam, Wrigley Field 7/19/13

Agreed. Fucking loved it. Now if they got in the other 9 songs on the setlist it would have moved into the Epic category, but even still it was amazing.0

I think the only song I was really bummed to see not played was Sleight of Hand. Would've loved to have seen some Binaural played. But overall the band sounded fantastic and we still got Crown of Thorns!"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

flawless would mean perfect, I guess because of the rushing through many songs and cutting out Man Of The Hour, Alive and Yellow Ledbetter and keeping Leatherman and Bugs, I like the London concert much more and look forward to that bootleg release, I think Amsterdam II and Stockholm had better setlists, but it is all in ear of the listener though, so this is all subjective, and that is my take0

I would not have any complaints. A very solid set.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

The ones cut, had they made the cut instead of having to be discarded due to mother nature's hijinks would have been considered one of the top they have ever played.
As it stands now, thanks to mother nature, it has been forever immortalized as a great setlist, with an * next to it, for what it could have been"Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?0 -
agreed great is not perfect and that is where I am on itMaxGoldenrod wrote:The ones cut, had they made the cut instead of having to be discarded due to mother nature's hijinks would have been considered one of the top they have ever played.
