What are you gonna be drinking that night. I wanna nice buzz but not fall down drunk. Want to enjoy every moment of the Concert and whole experience. Probably stick with beer n wine. Cant promise that Henny or the Goose might just happen to wind up in my hand. lol

As far as domestics go, I like Yuengling when I hit NY or further south on the East Coast. . . . is it available in Chicago? (they don't sell it in New England. . . I feel like if I could get it all the time I would get sick of it, but being a commodity for me, I have yet to get tired of it)

I'm also a fan of Harpoon Rye IPA, Dogfishhead 60 minute etc. so I would love hearing suggestions for hoppy ales from Chicago brewers.

(good topic, thanks to the OP)

Yuengling is not available in Illinois.

Think I am gonna save my drinking mostly till after the show, its gonna be hot and I dont wanna miss anything for bathroom breaks, plus beer inside wrigley is a little rediculous. $8 for your regular domestics (Bud, Miller, Old Style) Slightly more for anything decent but to get those you have to make the trip to the concorse or down to the Captain Morgans Club. I'm sure the dozens of bars around Wrigley will be full of fun times after though.

Goose Island has some VERY good beer.

Hopefully, there is a quick shower halfway through the show so I won't need to leave to use the restroom

I'll probably stop by Sheffields and sit in their beer garden for a few before the show.

Great idea! I can't believe nobody has started a thread about that. ;)

Yuengling is not sold in Illinois or Indiana. Goose Island has a brew called Summertime...that's pretty good. When in Wrigley Field however, you have to go with at least 1 Old Style. It's just part of the Wrigley experience.

Uh-oh! Fine beer connoisseur alert! The Budweiser and Bud Light are certainly no better. Besides, once you have several beers in you, it is much easier to drink other beer types. I'm not saying Old Style is great, just that it is a Wrigley Field tradition.

Dont have to be a fine beer connoisseur to know Old Style taste like shit, even compared to other shitty tasting beers. That being said, I will likely choke several down. ;)

If I remember right the outfield walls have portable bathrooms, and I'd guess some vendors near home plate

I'll be drinking something else beforehand for sure, but it's Old Style only inside the Friendly Confines.
