Opening band wishlist?

Who's on your wishlist?

I'd love to see City and Colour open with a potential Eddie and Dallas duet.

Choice 2 would be Oleander. They're a great group of guys who can rock the house.

Unfortunately, they're for selfish reasons and I'm not sure the styles fit. Somebody else nailed it the other day about Band of Horses being perfect. Ben Harper, My Morning Jacket and Death Cab were very solid too. But I can do without a lot of the others we've seen over the last 10-15 years. But, to each their own! Either way, it'll be great!

You said wish list, not best realistic possibility list.

I don't want an opening act. I just want them to play for 4-5 hours.

  • Gaslight. People will bitch, but what else is new in Pearl Jam land? Gaslight Anthem is my favorite generic rock band out there right now. All I want from an opener is a solid 40-minute rock set — something Gaslight can provide without a problem. Anybody but the fucking Arctic Monkeys. I saw them open for the Black Keys, and I wanted to shoot myself for 44 of the 45 minutes they played. They were offensively awful.

Someone most of us have never heard of, but the band feel are interesting. If I wanted to buy tickets to most of the folks you named, I would. I don't need to see them by force. So, let the band pick someone interesting that might be getting their first chance in front of a half filled arena.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Band of Skulls would be awesome... Or Band of Horses would be cool. I'd also like to see My Morning Jacket.

METZ!!!! They'd be amazing. Perfect band to warm up the crowd for a night of kick-ass, loud music.
