Covers Album
Pearl Jam does so many covers, I think it would be great if they got in the studio and made either an entire album of covers or did a "Pearl Jam & Friends" type of album with guest musicians. (After the new album & worldwide tour of course!) Let's Do this!

Manchester MEN - 20/06/12. Manchester MEN - 21/06/12
What Green Day song could they cover? Something pre-American Idiot...maybe something from Dookie...like She.
It's gotta be better than the thrashing of some really great songs that the Foo Fighters put out.
Ever since Boom joined I've wanted them to cover Inna-Godda-Da-Vida, I believe it'll be mind-blowing if they do because the drum & organ solos which really allow for extended jamming from Matt & Boom, Iron Butterfly's lead singer has the same Jim-Morrison-esque vocal style as Eddie, & it has some really great heavy guitar riffs that Mike could go crazy with. Maybe someday - until then a guy can dream!

Pearl Jam could record a few of their covers they already play but don't have in studio quality yet and learn a few new ones to freshen it up a bit. I can't imagine that taking very long, it's not like they're writing lyrics or music for these songs. And since they seem to have settled in a routine of releasing albums every 3 years or so and tour on a semi-retired basis, this would satisfy most fans while we wait til 2017 when the new album most likely will be released.
I'll take more Pearl Jam and less Tres Mts and Moonlander please.
Love this idea!

I really like that idea, it's been far too long since Lost Dogs came out, we could definitely use another b-sides/rares/covers/scraps double-album (or box set!) - it'd be cool to call this collection "Stray Cats"; they could even have a Brian Setzer cover on it &/or maybe have Brian Setzer help on a few tracks.
