    Had a dream last night that they played Come Back at Wrigley. Hope this dream comes true! :)

    I have been out the last two weeks (Florida and out west) to spread Sarah's ashes. Very surprised and happy to see this is still on the front page.

    Your post has been on my mind since I read it a few days ago. So many people are probably saying to you..”I can’t imagine how you must feel”. I can. When a loss is unexpected, the grief and sadness contain a rawness you know will never completely heal.

    This band has been a major part of my adult life. They have been there through the highs and the lows-and have helped me deal with grief. I highly recommend the “mini gorge set” from the 2006 Santa Barbara show. It starts with Oceans. “We’re all allowed to dream of the next time we touch”….”please stand by the shore-I will be there once more”. “Hard to Imagine”..they also play “Waiting on a Friend” a Stones cover which contains the line-“a smile relieves a heart that grieves..remember what I said”. It took a while for people approach me with a smile, instead of a sad and concerned face, and it was a relief when they finally did. “Come Back” is also on that set list. Over the years I have mined other gems from the catalogue. “Light Years”, “Long Road”. Ed understands grief and loss, and I am not quite sure where I would be without this music.

    I am still on my healing journey and doubt that it will ever truly end. Godspeed to you as you begin yours. I have discovered that a life with purpose and heeding your calling are necessary turns on the path. Focus on what you have-not what you have lost.

    I will be thinking of you at Wrigley in a few weeks and I hope your simple request is heard by someone who can help make it happen.

    If they don't play this, then we will officially know that no one from the band really reads these boards. Because seriously...how could they not do this? Holy hell if they don't play this for him I think I will be devestated. :cry:

    My sincerest condolences... I don't know how you are functioning but I hope this place and this show are cathartic for you...

    I do believe the band reads on this boards because they did play songs for my boys 4 years ago at their first concerts..
