Your first (Unofficial) Pearl Jam Bootleg?
I was just reminiscing about the purchase of my first (Unofficial) Pearl Jam bootleg CD back in 1994. It was titled "Ultra Rare Trax" from a place called: Second Spin Records, near my house in South Jersey. My Dad bought it for me after a few childish minutes of begging like a typical brat. I think he recognized the Doors titles, and took pity on me and shelled out the $24 for me. It meant a lot, and so began my Pearl Jam Bootleg love affair! ... What's your title and story?

Such a good set! I had it on an (un)official radio station release, but later sold it. Great show!0 -
Geez..
Gonna show my age but like alot of early "Faithful"
I taped:
1) first appearance on SNL IN 1992 on VHS ("alive" and "porch" sick sick mcready solos in both)
2) MTV unplugged 3/16/92? On VHS
3) 4/3/94 Atlanta full concert radio broadcast (goddam sweating out the "cassette flip" timing!
4) 1/5/95 self pollution radio broadcast on cassette
5) Berlin "checkpoint Charlie" 1996 radio concert broadcast
It was a "make your own live bootleg" time as an early PJ fan..."This here's a REQUEST!"

oh man... mine was my first show from 7/9/95. I remember walking into my local shop like 6 months after the show and was just blown away they had it. Of course it was $50 but I didn't care, I had to have it. That same store then started to gets tons of PJ boots, and I came and bought them all... $25 for the single disc ones, and $50 for the double disc ones. Well then they knew that I'd come get them, so I swore they started stocking more just cause I'd come buy it all. I still have them all, probably like 25-30 of them.....some are great like the "Chapters" double disc, and an early Brixton show...some were garbage, but I still didn't care.95' - 7/9

God, this has me thinking... half of them weren't even spelled right or had incorrect information and I still blew my cash on them... I have one called "We're Gonna Hungry" for example.95' - 7/9

HA! From '99 to '01 I came too work at the same (similar) record store, and became the local Pearl Jam piranha, sucking up all the bootlegs, promos and rarities that came in. I ended up with such a huge collection, it was amazing, and since I was such a huge PJ fan, I was geeking out everytime a promoter came in with a collection!
Eventually I just took a cd home and copied it, and then brought it back so someone else could (buy it, and) enjoy it! 0 -

That was the best time in unofficial "bootlegs"; when there was new (unidentified) material from VS and Vitaolgy! One of my favorites was: "No F*cking Messiah!"0 -
I had never seen Pearl Jam live before PJ20, and really got interested in PJ after starting to watch concert videos on YouTube, particularly after someone had posted a video of Black from Pinkpop Festival 1992. I remember my friend, who posted the video on Facebook, commenting, "Now, I get it!", or something to that effect.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3r9KWth84Y
Of course, after watching it, I got it too, but had to watch more, discovering a huge collection of single videos, and, much to my delight, full concerts. Some were shown in their entirety, and others were single videos of each song from the setlist, with excellent quality and sound, even HD!
So, I started to record and make my own bootlegs using a program I downloaded from the Internet. Sometimes, it would take me half a day or more to record and edit just one concert into one that I could play and listen to on my iPod or using iTunes.
First one I made of a full Pearl Jam concert was from the Live At The Garden videos. I'm not sure, but it may have something to do with my appreciation of Riot Act, which is one of my favorites.

I actually would like help with this one. It was a concert where I think Eddie's brother came up and played drums. It would of been early 90s for sure. I had it on tape and I want to figure it out what it was as the tape is long gone.

I could of swore Eddie talked about his brother being there and asked him on stage.0 -
got into PJ after getting this....98ish

I remember Nirvana MTV Unplugged came out in cassette and I was looking everywhere and asking about Pearl Jam MTV Unplugged, but it wasnt to be found.
I had no idea about bootlegs, back then. As far as I know, they never have been available in Turkey, at those times. What's your part, who you are?
