I have three of their albums, enjoy all of them. It's always a great jam when I put them on. They're playing here in SLC next Friday and I'm contemplating going. Recent job change has reduced my income pretty significantly so I am getting pretty selective about the concerts I pop for.
Can anyone give some insight as to how they are live?

Seen them 3 times, last time was a while back now (over 10 years) on the Plastic Fang tour but they've always been great fun live. Saw JS with Boss Hogg too. The man knows his way around a fretboard and is a really good performer. I'm happy to refund you the ticket cost if you think he's shit...

I saw them last fall, but I have been a huge fan for years. The new album (Meat and Bone) is frickin' awesome!! Do yourselves a favor and pick it up. Good band that doesn't gouge there fans, albums sell for like $10 at the show, even vinyl.
The Blues are still #1!!!! :-DToronto 06-28-2003

One word: Energetic!
Big fan. Seen them approx 8-10 times and I still love them.
Here's a short clip from the latest show I attended with Russell on vocals. And yes, it's a Dead Boys cover...

I was into these guys in college and then kind of forgot about them. I'll have to dig through the closet to see if I can find some of their CDs. Thanks for the reminder.0

Am a bit late in finding this band, but am really digging them, great, no-nonsense tunes with a side of humour. This is my second album of their's I've managed to pick up on vinyl...

I have an issue with JSBX live. jon spencer drives me nuts. he moves so much that I found it irritating... so I shifted my gaze over to judah, only glancing over at jon and the rest of the night goes well. but aside from that little glitch theyre great.hear my name
take a good look

^^ Ha ha. I can imagine. TBH the bar they've played here when I've seen them is a pretty scummy kind of pub, not really a "well hello ladies & gentlemen" kind of place so they in a way don't get the kind of reaction they're expecting. Still a great rocking night though.

Yep I've got meat & bone although I haven't listened to it in ages tbh. I think I find their stuff a bit same-same actually, but I guess I haven't actually listened to it that much recently.reesdog wrote:
