03 DJ/Laptop Tour Bag *EDIT: NO LONGER FOR SALE*

edited May 2013 in Lost Dogs
I found that if there's no interest in the first few days of posting, it's not gonna sell.

I'm gonna put it back in my archives.

Thanks to all that gave the listing a read.

A seller has one listed for $250 over at EB, which is a reasonable price depending on the bag's condition.

that's what i was gonna lower it to--it does show signs of use, but definitely not abuse. and i looked for it on eb, but couldnt find it. so yeah, it was overpriced initially because i had no reference, but i'm open to negotiation with the person that PM'd me.

i'm in discussion with someone via PM in my state. gonna see if he wants to take a look at it before plunking down any dough.

EB average prices matter little in this case.

Ebeans avg prices can be a good barometer or a bad one, it really all depends on the item in question. There's plenty of rare posters where there is a run of lets say 100, and 5 of 6 years later, maybe only one comes up every year. So if the avg price is $300 and there are a ton of people looking for it, you can sure as hell bet people will go well over $400 because it might be their only chance.

Bags like this never come up too often from what I have seen. Clearly the seller isn't in dire need of cash so he doesn't have to sell for less than he sees fit. Just my 2 cents though...hope that wasn't a crappy example, lol.

I see your point but that would only matter if there was only an avg price and no data for a 6 mnth avg. in this case there have been 3 sales in last 6 months or so so it should be good guide.

There have also been several sales that weren't documented on EB.

That's the problem with EB - over the last couple of years members haven't been as diligent about updating prices into the database and as a result EB averages have bottomed out with skewed results.

Yup, that too. I mean sellers can charge whatever...that's just a guide. There's been plenty of things I bought and never recorded on ebeans because I haven't frequented the site until around December/January.

So when I dropped $500 for a billboard that was never in the equation, $250 for a backpack, etc. For example there was one poster I was checking out earlier and less than 25 made. Only 2 sold since it was released and one was $400 the day it came out, and about 4 months later it went for $1200. Now guess how much that next one will sell for..I guess way more than the "average" of $800.

There's many ways one can look at the average.

I need cash, but I'm not in dire need. I sold a few things recently and the sales went smoothly. I made a decision not to sell this because it has a couple of condition issues I didn't notice before listing it. Condition is subjective so I'd rather just keep it than go through a hassle of a sale. I should have just deleted the thread instead of starting this mini controversy in which people find the need to take passive-aggressive shots at a person that really didn't know the current value of the item. I've sold a few things that I regret selling so maybe it's just better to hang on to it even though I haven't used it in years. And I'm not looking to rip anyone off; my prices were always fair when I was actually able to find a sale history of the item.

    Have a great night, everyone.
