It's my understanding that police have been called multiple times over the years. Neighbors noticed the girls crawling in the back yard and called police only to have the police show up and knock on the door and leave when no one answered or just didn't show at all

Ah, I posted before seeing this.

There has to be more to the police doing nothing; just makes no sense as it's been reported.

I don't get it...any thread that mentions the heroes name gets deleted. I've read on the web, people are making jokes, it's racist :fp: etc....NO, the guy is a breath of fresh air!

Nobody that talks about this guy is forgetting what happened or minimizing the major story here. Some people (myself included) just get sick of reading / hearing of war, rape, every other bad news story that is thrown at us daily.

This guy deserves to be talked about. Maybe if we would talk more about this guy, mankind may act more like him (talking the - walk towards danger and not away part).

But no, let's keep talking about these three assholes and all the harm they've done.

I just don't like how he talked to the press that's all. seemed to use the wrong words every other word. whatever. the dude did save the girls which is incredible.

something like "dude's got testicles cause we saw him everyday" "bro, bro, bro, bro, bro." on the phone w/ 911 & w/ the press..."I was eating my mcdonalds" and I had a very difficult time understand him on the 911 call.

I don't think all 3 lived there. My understanding is the all had their own homes. But yes, brothers visited this home.

Early stages in this thing....we'll see what happens.

And, I just heard...the girls said they were outside only 2 times in 10 years. So it's not like the neighbors saw these girls in the back yard 5 times a month and did nothing.

It's unbelievable that the police had three girls go missing in the area, get calls about a women in the backyard and only knocked on the door and leave because no one answered????
I really don't think people should be making jokes about anything that has to do with finding these women. It doesn't matter what that man said, he helped them.

The owner of a Cleveland house of horrors was charged Wednesday with kidnapping and rape for holding three women hostage for nearly a decade.

Ariel Castro, 52, was solely responsible for the abductions of the three victims, who were held in chains and ropes during their long captivity, officials said.

His two brothers, arrested Monday night with Castro, were cleared of any charges in the case after officials interviewed the suspect and his three victims, said Cleveland Deputy Police Chief Ed Tomba.
Castro waived his Miranda rights and provided police with “a detailed statement” after his arrest, Tomba said.

I don't get it

As I'm hearing more and more about this case the sadder it gets for me. I was just showing a lighter side of this tragedy with Ramsey's interview and I thought the other interview was funny. Still nothing funny about what happened to these girls turning into womanhood. Amanda apparently reached her breaking point and realized she not only had to look out for herself but also a child who will be traumatized for a long time to come.

What bothers me the most is Castro beat his common law wife badly for years.
She has since passed away. He broke her nose at least 2 times, ribs, a hematoma to the brain,
dislocated shoulder, etc etc.
It was common knowledge to her family and others he was a monster
when not walking around pretending to be cool in society, "I play in a fuckin band"
I have a fuckin Facebook page ... asshole.
He was known to have mental issues. His daughter is in prison for slitting the throat of her
11 month old child. Mental illness sited.

Why is this guy free so he can prey on others?

Now we have three women, maybe another victim or more, who are traumatized for life.
A 6 year old little girl fathered by a monster, not to have seen the outside, now
thrown into a family she does not know, world she has never seen.
Pray for the power of love. Hopefully much counseling for her and her extended family.

This tells me our laws are shit and people in general don't want to get involved
or feel helpless to. That police are missing things and need the publics help.

Hopefully missing person's cases across the country will be looked at differently,
reopened. The monster involved may not have killed their victim
they may only be enjoying the abuse.

Evil an intense extreme power.

I would think that any time you see a naked women crawling on all fours while chained up, you'd only have to see that once to act.
