    My parents saw him in concert last year. He left the stage for 20 minutes during the middle of a song to take some medication as the band played on. Everyone still treated him kindly but knew he was in bad shape.

    My stepdad, who died a couple of years ago, called him "No show" because George didn't perform at a concert that my dad tried to attend. I guess maybe he's finally getting that show today. 8-) :( rip George.
