Bootleg download help?

Need some help folks - I posted this in the Technical Help section as well, but no replies yet, so I figured I'd post on The Porch. Sorry if this is kind of long, but I want to make sure I provide all of the pertinent details - any help is greatly appreciated! So here goes:

I renewed my membership recently and used my coupon code to purchase Berlin 7/4/12 bootleg. I downloaded the zip file and was able to unzip it into the individual mp3 files using Winrar just fine. When I imported it into Windows Media Player, all of the tracks are labeled "Unknown Artist", "Unknown Album", have the whole file name as the track titles (ex: "pj120704d2_01_Rearviewmirror"), and lack song times. I'm using Windows 7 OS w/Windows Media Player 12, and since the Advanced Tag Editor that was part of WMP 11 is not in version 12, I'm using a 3rd party plug-in (Tag Editor Plus) to attempt to amend the metadata. However, as soon as I update the track title, artist name, album title, etc., it just reverts back to it's original state. I can play the tracks from start to finish in WMP, but I CANNOT burn them to CD or sync to my Sony mp3 player in WMP. I've downloaded and unzipped the file from 10C site twice with same results.

The last time I downloaded content from 10C was the Vault #2 last year, and it worked great - I didn't have to touch the files at all. When I've purchased other bootlegs in the past, they loaded right up, with proper track info., artwork, etc. and were fully functional. The zip file for this download doesn't appear to have any image files in it, and the mp3 files seem to be sorely lacking any type of media info. So what gives? Is this a known issue with newer downloads? Is it an issue on my end, or do I need to contact 10C for additional support?

Thanks for reading and for any help you can offer!

Can you open the files with another program?

iTunes is what the mp3s are targeted for and labeled correctly with artwork in iTunes.

You can install iTunes for free on any Mac or pc.

Winamp is also helpful for mp3s.

Vlc player will play all files including FLAC files, as well as almost every video type out there.

If you still need help pm me. No problem to help you out.

    Sorry for a second post.

I do have all the Europe 2012 files on mp3 as well as the ALACHD formats.

I never wanted to use iTunes. But it works great for your music.

All you need to do is download iTunes. Install it. Once open drag the mp3 files or full folder of mp3 files into where it says music.

It should have all songs labeled properly. It should also have artwork.
If the artwork pic is blank, right click and click get album artwork. Then you'll have a nice artwork on each file also.

    Hope it works!

Thanks for the suggestions, but my player is a Sony Walkman mp3 player, and can't sync with iTunes. I really don't like Apple in general, but my son has an iPod touch, so he uses iTunes. I was able to import the files OK and see the individual tracks with correct titles and track times, but it's kind of pointless since iTunes won't detect my mp3 player anyway. I was able to use another program to burn them to disc, so I can listen on my computer or in the car, but it sucks not being able to listen to them on my portable device. I just don't understand why this particular download is giving me such crappy results with the same OS and media player I've always used for everything else I've ever downloaded from this site. Thanks Again - I guess I'll just have to deal with it for now.

For all your mp3 (and other formats) tagging needs download www.mp3tag.de

You can get tags from filenames or name the files based on the tags and many other things.
