Anyone been checking out the setlists from late 2012? Whoa...really excited. Looks like they're opening with the same thing every night, and then the last 5-6 songs, including the encore are the same. But there's been some decent variation each night. 20-22 songs on average? I'm impressed.

    Can't fucking wait.

They didn't open with the same song every night, they opened with "I Wanna Be Your Man" at the first 02 show. According to the setlist that was put up on Twitter prior to the Pay-Per-View show they were going to open with it then too, but sometime between then and the start of the broadcast they changed it back to "Get Off Of My Cloud" like they did the other shows.

I'm hoping they mix up Keith's set some. I know "Happy" and "Before They Make Me Run" are his two most popular songs, but he has a bunch others that are popular and work great live, and I think he did the same two numbers every night. "Little T&A", "Connection", "Wanna Hold You", etc are all crowd pleasers as well.

Or even better, do "Learning The Game" again, I was at that show in Austin, it was epic...

Ok, generally speaking, they're opening with the same thing. The point is the same: they are doing some variations which are nice. Would love to get "Hand of Fate" one night, but I think Mick is way passed that...

I agree on the Keith Songs. Personally, his voice may have aged better than Mick's. I'd love to see them do off "Black & Blue." Keith's voice on "Memory Motel" is one of my favorites.

I LOVE that song, not sure why. Musically it's not all that interesting or anything, it just has a good groove and cool lyrics. I don't think hearing it is as far fetched as you might think though, they played it on the Licks Tour in '03. They may have played it more times, but that's the one time I know of for sure in modern history they played it.

Here's the video, it's from the Paris show. It's not some cell phone video, pro-shot from their official channel.

I'd say any easy to play Open G rocker is in contention to be on the setlist, and Hand Of Fate is both. It's not often they play much off of Black And Blue except for Memory Motel though, but it's not impossible. When I saw them for the first time in '97 they played Crazy Mama, which rocked. That was actually the first time I heard it as I didn't own Black And Blue yet back then. Good little album though.

Any songs/albums you're looking for? I mean, we'll get the classics, which, having never seen them, is fine with me. What songs are you pining for? How many times have you seen them?

Personally, I'd love anything off "Black & Blue" or "Some Girls."

I'm not going (they're not coming close enough and I'm not really able to take off) so I don't really have a wishlist for the shows. There are some stuff I'd like them to do, and then hopefully get it on an album or DVD or something. With Taylor on board for the 50th shows I had hopes for Sway, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Time Waits For No One, etc. My personal holy grail for any Stones show would be Taylor playing on "Dance Little Sister", I'd punch an old woman in the mouth to see that.

I've seen them twice, first time at Texas Motor Speedway on the Bridges To Babylon Tour in '97 and the second time on the Bigger Bang tour '06 in Austin. The first time I went to see them my wishlist mainly consisted of "Paint It, Black" and "Monkey Man", neither of which they played at either show, but it was all good. During those two shows I got to hear some somewhat rare or deep album cuts. Like "Star Star", "Crazy Mama", "Sway", etc. And some covers like "Learning The Game", "Little Queenie" and "Bob Wills Is Still The King".

You'll likely get some "Some Girls" stuff, it's one of their more popular albums and seems well represented in concerts in recent years. I think "Miss You" is sort of a given, and if Keith's pattern keeps up, so is "Before They Make Me Run". "Beast Of Burden", "Shattered" and "Respectable" are all pretty common concert staples as well. I'd like to see them play some of the songs from the bonus disc of the re-issue. "Claudine" would be awesome. I loved "No Spare Parts" but I'm not sure it would translate too well live.

Of the two shows I've seen I've gotten off Sticky Fingers: Brown Sugar, Sway, Bitch and Dead Flowers. I'd always hoped for Can't You Hear Me Knocking, but it really wasn't that good with Ronnie. But now that Taylor's back, and I know he can still play it as he played it when he sat in with Roots on Fallon, it would probably be really badass.

I wouldn't hold my breath for Carol, they don't seem to be doing Chuck Berry covers anymore.

I'm sure we'll get the regular 15 warhorses, but they have been rehearsing some very cool secondary tracks thus far. I'd love to see them performed with Mick Taylor (I can confirm he is at rehearsals!). Songs rehearsed:

    Sway
    Cant You Hear Me Knocking
    Loving Cup
    Ruby Tuesday
    If You Can't Rock Me
    Love in Vain
    Doom and Gloom
    One More Shot
    Live with Me
    Dead Flowers
    Worried About You
    Street Fighting Man
    Memory Motel
    Fool To Cry
    Bitch
    You Got Me Rocking
    Tumbling Dice
    All Down the Line
    Brown Sugar
    JJF
    Sympathy
    IORR
    Paint It Black
    The Last Time
    Get Off My Cloud
    Love In Vain
You Can't Always Get What You Want
    Shine a Light
    She Was Hot
    WIld Horses
    Midnight Rambler
    Miss You
    Start Me Up
I Heard it through the grapevine
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

It would take digging through 50 years of setlists to be sure, but I'm pretty sure that's a new one. I've never heard, or heard of, them playing that at any other concert. I'm surprised to see it on the list, but it has a good groove so I'd say it's right up their alley and they can make it work.

There are rumors over at IORR (including from bv, the guy who runs the site and always knows what's going on) that these shows are the "first batch", and we'll get a tour of the southern U.S. come winter time. bv even came out and said Dallas, so I might get to see the old boys one last time after all. I just hope he's right, but so far I've never seen him be wrong. As somebody over there pointed out, and if history is any indication, they probably won't be able to resist the pull of Jerry's Death Star.

We ended up with extra tickets for the June 3, 2013, United Center, Chicago show.

    Section 102, Row 13.

PM me if anyone is interested. Face value, of course.

Looks like another announcement of some sort coming. Not sure if it's more shows, more dates for existing cities, or something else.

Looks like another announcement of some sort coming. Not sure if it's more shows, more dates for existing cities, or something else.

Would have been all over this if I wasn't going to the Kings game.

From what I hear it's pointless to go down there though, but if you live in the area you might try. Secret shows don't get past Stones fans, they're usually lined up around the block before anybody knows what's going on. There were over a hundred people lined up there this morning, and the news just now broke.

I got a text from somebody at 9am who was already in line, and he was probably within the first 100 at that time.

It's a lottery. People that have been lined up for hours are going to go nuts if they miss out.
