Rest in peace Chi Cheng, the bassist of Deftones

Chi Cheng, the bassist for Deftones who suffered a very serious car injury in 2008 and has since been in a semi-conscious state, has passed away. Though I am not a big fan of the group, I've been following Chi's recovery from his car accident from the start. May he rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends and more importantly, the guys who are with Deftones.

    I've always stood infront of Chi when Deftones performed in NYC. It was great watching him play his bass and scream out his lungs during songs. Every Deftones fan around the world are sad. I'm heart broken. We'll never forget Chi Cheng! One Love For Chi to infinity! :cry:

    I remember seeing the Deftones at the Quest (RIP that club too) in Minneapolis, my sophomore year in high school. Chi had long dreadlocks than. Still the loudest show I've ever been to. I've seen them a few times since then, but I can still remember him with the band then. Too bad.

    I saw the deftones back only July 4, 1995 at the whiskey a go-go. They, along with the bad brains had just signed onto madonnas new record label Mavrick Records. From the first song I ever heard, I was hooked. It's been a long journey Chi, RIP.... :(
