agree, if it was joe shmoe in a KC vs. Hou. game no one would care.

Quentin should get a little longer suspension than normal (maybe 9 games) but people talking about the 2-3 months that Greinke is going to be out is absurd to me. and you don't want to set a precedent of a player getting supsended for as long as another player is out.

I dunno what the standard is for charging that mound, but the suspension shouldn't be much more than that just b/c Greinke picked a bad fight.

Perhaps the catcher didn't get involved because it was a mistake and nothing was going to come of it.

I dunno, I think about any time there's a hit batter the catcher usually gets out in front of the plate. I understand if the batter charges the mound right out, but there was plenty of time for the catcher to react.

It didn't seem like the dude was for sure gonna charge until Greinke said somethin, so I think it's safe to assume it wasn't anything very nice.

Either way, I think he hit him on purpose whether it makes sense in that situation or not. Greinke doesn't seem like the most stable dude anyway.
