Anyone else like these guys? A friend just turned me on to them. I've only really listened to the Blue Record so far but I'm loving it. Truly epic.

Yeah. Baroness rule.album are all great and they kill live.
They were in a bus accident last winter also that roughed up

This band is absolutely amazing. Yellow and Green is my album of the year for last year. I would LOVE to see these guys open for PJ. Great live band too.0

I won't lie sometimes i do miss the older heavier stuff (first/second) but i do like how they have matured.
If you like Blue you'll dig Yellow/Green, but you might want to check out Red first it is a little heavier. and if you lke heavier you have to hunt down their ep's first and second lots of nasty riffs and growling!
Tower Falls is a great heavy tune from the early days.

I love them! Saw them a couple of days before the crash.
So glad John and Peter are getting back to it, but absolutely gutted for Allen and Matt. I'll miss them when Baroness come back to the UK!

got an email from Union Transfer about this show.Our very good friends and Philadelphia residents in metal, BARONESS were involved in a very serious tour bus accident last August. Their bus plunged 30 feet off a viaduct. Thankfully everyone survived but both band and crew sustained very serious injuries. Much to our amazement, just 8 months after the crash, they'll be playing their very first show since the accident - Friday May 24th at Union Transfer. We are thrilled to welcome them back and encourage you to do the same. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon.
Says the reside in philly but according to wiki they are from Georgia and are living in Virgina :?

Depends how heavy you like it... they went from Metal at the beginning to a Heavy Indie Metal vibe with their last album Yellow and Green. Depends how heavy you like your music I guess...If there were no Angels would there be no sin?0 -

Yeah their last double album sef wasn't as heavy. Wasn't too sure at first, but the more I hear it the more I love it! Seeing it live was absolutely amazing too! These guys are great - go see 'em! I've had the pleasure of seeing them many times over the years and they've never disappointed!
John's an awesome artist too - does the album art for Baroness and art for loads of other bands too! They're also great guys! At the end of one gig over here Pete jumped from the stage (I say stage - it was more of a 'step'
) and hugged my other half cos he'd noticed him enjoying it so much!

Got tix for the Philly show... Now I need to go home and blare the Yellow & Green album.
Still kind of surprised they are playing larger venues than Red Fang... I saw Red Fang last fall at the Underground Arts, very small venue. Good for Baroness though!If there were no Angels would there be no sin?0 -
