    Agreed! Great song. Merkinball is a two song powerhouse and has more great songs on it than most other bands can produce in an entire LP album.

    Question, I've always been curious how it's really pronounced, is it "I Got I.D." As in identification, or Id as in Freud's theory in terms of personality?

    On the radio back in 95-96 the dj used to say Here's I got I.D. (Like (as in the abreviation for Identification).

    However, I have always taking the Freud pronounciation because it just seems to fit more with the lyrics to me.
    To me, it's a song about being so infatuated with someone, that you want to have a relationship with them, and, fantasize about that person and being with them but never ever got to date them or be with them realistically. I've always figured infatuation goes with psycological thinking so i've always said id.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Hahaha it's all good, that was a good explanation for being hungover!! Lol I agree though, Id makes more sense than I.D. based on the lyrics, your interpretation is what I think they were going for. Very emotional song. :D
