Im just glad they didnt get Christian Bale in attempt to glamorize it too much.

Didnt you suggest all those cool science books to me a few moths back? Im still in the beginning of the one I ordered back then... havent had time, but I gotta get back to it soon..

I had an old girlfriend named Tina. She tried to blind me with it. Sad day.

I believe I did, yes. I have a couple that I've started and haven't had a chance to finish, too. They're on my list and I plan to get to them later this spring. :geek:

I can't even begin to tell you how many arguments I've gotten into with people who assert that It doesn't matter because science is just my opinion. :fp:

Up until a few months ago my wife had never heard that song, it luckily was on the radio not a couple days later. And she thought I was a nerd for liking that song. Hmm, me a nerd? We met on a video game message board, who's a nerd now?! Oh yeah, I guess I still am.

But, but, but, have you ever actually SEEN an exoplanet???

(true story, someone actually posted that on the interwebz for all to see when arguing that the "crazy scientists" made it up as a means to undermine religion :? )

Science made the Internet, so it must be.

    I have a science question:

When you get in the shower and the water's too hot so you cool it off a bit , but then you adjust and make it hotter again, even hotter then when you first started, but now it feels good.

So what's happening there, is it your skin adjusting or the blood underneath your skin getting thinner or thicker, or what?

This should have been my B.J. thought of the day

:ugeek: I love science. I did awesome in all my science classes...okay, except for anthropology. I didn't like that class...lecture lecture lecture

I like mixing chemicals, looking for bacteria under the microscope...making gram stains is always fun...afroannnie knows what I'm talking about.

I'm pretty sure it's a misnomer that our blood "thickens" or "thins."

In an attempt to answer the question, I think it has something to do with the combination of water and air temperature. The water first feels very hot because it's hotter than your air temperature, but you get used to it. Then you have to turn the water up during a shower because your body is exposed to both the water and the air, which is cooler than the water and making you feel cold.

Or something. I'm not a real scientist. But that would be my guess. :geek:

Blood is either thick or thin, it doesn't change immediately. http://www.nutralegacy.com/blog/general ... lood-full/

When a nurse takes your blood for testing, the lab tech, who has never seen you, can actually tell if you are a tubby person, or a slender person...just by looking at your blood.
