And for the record, this is the only time I have made a negative remark or complaint about anything the Ten Club has done. How one not of feedback can result in being told to leave or being called an immature spoilt child once again, speaks more about those making such remarks than it does me. I'm comfortable in my skin.

As a paid member you absolutely have a right to be dissapointed with the annual merchandise and should have the ability to express it just as someone who loves the new stickers. Especially since it was basically the same thing as last year. It's not like you were saying we should have 4 posters and limited edition hoodie... Diversity would be nice, last year was stickers, great, make next year a year 1 color trucker hat, or a set of 3 color postcards, etc... with the quanity that is being printed, there are many options that are feasable. That said, what they send out probably won't change based on any feedback. The 10 club will put out what they put out and if no one is happy with that, we can always pick up a guitar and start our own band/fan club.
I kinda like this years stickers myself even though I have nothing to put them on (which is what people mean by saying they are grown ups), It's not like we can all pull out our bass and plaster them everywhere, and if you are married, be prepared to plaster those stickers No! Where! :)
Every once in a while, something awesome will come out, kinda like the No Jeremy 10" annual single. That thing is beautiful!

Yeah, I like the artwork and appreciate the skill and craftsmanship, just have no use for stickers & patches and would far prefer any item to be labelled with "Pearl Jam", not "Ten Club". To me the items are of little value, even though they have value. I'd prefer to see that value/cost/effort go towards something else, or to a cause that needs money more than I need a set of stickers etc - give the money to prostate cancer research or climate science, girls education in third world countries or sea shepherd or surf rider foundation. There are plenty of good ones out there. Plus, I'm also referring to the carbon produced in making them and shipping them to me at a time where we really need to only produce items that are necessary, these could have been omitted, no-one would have been poorer and the world would have been better for it.

I'd gladly opt out of the annual gift, if this is what it will be and have that value of my membership donated to a good cause. It is easy to say 'yeah, well sell them to someone and donate yourself' but we all know that's illogical and would raise cents - not dollars. However, I'd welcome that ability to opt in and out so they know how many to make and then donate the bulk sum of all the opt out members to one cause - could be a significant donation to some cause. But logistically, this is not that easy either.

I was certainly not trying to crucify the Ten Club, get all upitiy and say I'm going to cancel my membership and try to ensure the door doesn't hit my arse on the way out so that someone can move a seat closer to the front. Just expressing an option on one item. Nothing to see here really.

I like the patches a lot. Hopefully they make one every year. I put last years on the sleeve of a hoodie and used the one they have in the goods section to dress up a bag I use at work.

I will happily make a donation to a charity of your coice for anyone who wants to send me their stickers and patch. So don't just talk about the ten club doing something good with the stickers... Do it yourself.

Agree with this completely. I don't really want the 10Club artwork. I want Pearl Jam swag. A poster would be nice, you can keep your trucker hat, its not 2005 and I am not Ashton Kutcher. Not a tour poster but an actual band playing live poster or a T-shirt. Why aren't there any good posters in the merch section for the past 6+ years either. I am not unhappy with the last two free gifts, I think they are cool, I just don't have any real use for them either.

BTW, still waiting for mine. :D

    :) Respectfully.

I already do a lot of charity/donations and always will. Local cat shelter got about $100 from me yesterday in donations, purchases and cat food.

I was also referring to the pollution caused in the manufacture and shipping for an item that is not appreciated nor need by me.

They can never keep everyone happy, and I'm not as unhappy as the volume of this discussion probably suggests. Just exploring the idea and opinions.

    Sounds great.

My offer stands for anyone looking to unburden themselves from their 10 club gift. I saw an inspiring film today - American Winter - and I would be happy to turn anyone's sticker unhappiness into something positive for those in need.

And now for some humble pie for me...

After bagging them out, my stepson loves them and has asked that when mine arrive if he can have them for his guitar cases (he has 4 - a very spoilt 14 year old).

So I guess I should have shut my gob. :-)

    Peace!

Nah, I think you just proved your point... he's 14 you say? And he wants to stick the stickers on his belongings? Point proven. ;)

Of course I will ALWAYS have a PEARL JAM (not Ten Club) sticker on my car window... I put on a really nice ebay bought vinyl window sticker in 07 or 08 and it's still there although with some minor cracking. It was the surfboard cross logo thing from the 06 tour.

I do collect almost all the stickers that are made available too. I've got a Johnny Guitar sticker on one of my bass guitars. I've got a very old Angel sticker on the inside of one of my acoustic guitars (visible thru the soundhole). But most I just keep unstuck to anything. I just don't need anyone asking me what the Ten Club is. You already get enough funny responses when you tell someone you're in the Pearl Jam fan club... people think of fan clubs they were in as teenagers or something... they don't understand it's about the tickets and the vinyls. :)

Everything in this post has probably been covered, but I didn't see this thread or have any idea this swag was shipping until I got mine today, so it was a nice little surprise.

I agree with whoever said this artwork on a t-shirt would be killer.

I don't have much to do with stickers or patches, but the artwork is fucking sweet.

    Way better than last year.

I would like it on a much bigger poster.

Got my package today, along with some vinyls that I ordered. I still say that the tree image would be great on a T-shirt. Someone should make a custom shirt with a large tree on the front and one of the smaller sticker images on the upper-back.

I do really like the artwork, I just really don't know what to put stickers on. It's not like I still use a Trapper-Keeper!

My nine year old son is starting to love and appreciate PJ. He put a couple of the stickers from last year on his skateboard and helmet. I'll probably take a couple this year and give him the rest.
