No clue about these in particular, but when you can get a nice original...0

The originals are more than fine. And so you see, I have come to doubt

I didn't know the originals were cheap, I have both original UK pressings and the S.D. doesn't look cheap according to Discogs.com.[img][/img]9/5/92, 11/20/93, 3/14,15/94, 9/16/95, 10/14,15/2000

I was just looking on there!! They seem to run about $60 at least, crazy. If the recent reissue sounds better, I'd much rather go to my local record store and buy new copies for $25 each. Has anyone heard both versions?0

I've never heard the original but I got the reissue Gish for about $20 and it sounds fine.0

reissues sound fine, i picked up all of them.0

Re-issues sound good. I have the original and re-issue of Siamese and the re-issue sound a bit better. Check this video.

I have various pressings of both albums. Honestly, there is alot going for the repressings of both. I would say that I can hear more detail on the repress and they sound equally as good if not better in some instances, nevermind the low price. Only the completist, collector, or someone with OCD would need the original of these albums. You should be very happy with the reissues and the foil covers are nice.
On the other hand, and I know that this wasn't asked, Pisces and Mellon Collie reissues are both a bit of a hit and miss (but mostly miss) sound wise. They are very affordable reissues but the originals are truely superior.0 -

Thanks! I'l have to pick up the reissues of the first two next time I see them at the store. I may have to spring for an original Mellon Collie one of these days, I've looked around an they can be had for between $250-$300 at the low end,so about the price of a Lost Dogs/RVM although some go for much higher. I feel that with the vinyl market expanding, some reissues have been of sub par quality.I'm glad to hear that the Gish/Siamese actually turned out well.0 -

I just purchased the Siamese Dream reissue. Haven't received it yet. I have toyed with the thought of letting go of my 1st pressing Purple Marbled edition of Siamese Dream.Pearl Jam - ST.
