They played here in '91 but it was before they got big. They played a small bar called Harpo's. We have a new arena but it's pretty small. I haven't seen a concert that has sold seats behind the stage yet, so I'm guessing it holds 5 to 6 thousand people for a concert. With pearl jam playing less shows to larger audiences I think the odds of a Victoria show are getting slimmer every year. If we had any chance I think it would of been the '05 Canada tour as they played St. John's (but not here).
We could be a warmup show. It's only 130km in a straight line from Seattle to Victoria (90 milesish).
AND
Boise, ID - That was a show in a smaller Arena (10kish) that I saw. It was one of the most outstanding PJ crowds I've ever seen (maybe Boise doesn't get many shows?). Ed said they'd never not play Boise again, but they've never been back.
Seattle...they used to play 'homecoming' shows...but, well...
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
I know this is unpopular, but wouldn't it be great if the band took a bit of a dive off the popular ticket draw scale. Then, they could play out of the way places like Bob Dylan does. I mean, Rochester, MN was the best Dylan show I've seen.
To be perfectly honest though, I think Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines would be a good venue for them. Des Moines is also a pretty good central location for some larger Midwest cities - Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, etc.
Not ever going to happen though.

Bristow, VA. I wasn't there and I haven't bought the bootleg, but from the comments I heard the crowd booed when EV made some political comments.
I actually was there, and considering the nature of the comment Ed made (specifically that political lobbyists should just kill themselves), the response really wasn't all that extreme. Neither the rant nor the response went on to have any bearing on the rest of the show. It was nothing compared to some of the responses in 2003. If they don't play Bristow again it'll only be because they're playing in DC proper or on the Maryland side of the border. It won't have anything to do with the 2010 show.
To be perfectly honest though, I think Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines would be a good venue for them. Des Moines is also a pretty good central location for some larger Midwest cities - Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, etc.
Probably Long Island.....
By the way, what wrong with Camden...?
camden new jersey? pj played their fare share of shows there, hopefully they stay in philly this time or play holmdel or soemthign else instead, camden is a shithole, venue is alright but who the fuck wants to go to that area and i live in new jersey :fp:

most bands dont want to go to victoria bc because its on island and pain in the ass to get to you have to boat in or fly all the equipment in, im sure if they gonna do that they will pick hawaii over victoria island
if they do a west coast tour this year i could see a boise show maybe, if there is no montana show cause they play montana last year, that area youd think get 1 show maybe slc instead but what about a full west coast tour been forever since the wholew est coast got hit up no vegas show in 7 years since 06 :fp:
It's times like these when I wish Pearl Jam were a small band so they would hit the smaller clubs. I know they still do from time to time but it would be nice if they hit a dingy lil shack in London Camden town!

slightly stoopid cypress hill will be a good show
pearl jam i wish would do a denver or boulder show for 420 in 2013 that would be cool, or atleast put a colorado show on west coast tour ?
plus slightly stoopid or cypress hill would both make good openers for pj

vermont? new hampshire? alaska? north dakota?
Shitholes everywhere are greatly offended by this.
I'm hoping for a return to Slane Castle at some point in the future though, as the main act this time around.
Pearl Jam has never played New Hampshire, Delaware, West Virginia, Mississippi or Alaska. They've played in the other 45 states at least once.
