Wrigley will be my first PJ show, so I know nothing about obtaining merch (when do gates open, etc.). UPS and Fedex both have stores 1/2 mile from Wrigley, and both stores are open until 7PM on Fridays. Any experienced fans know if it sounds feasible to get there early, get my stuff, and make it to UPS/Fedex, then back to Wrigley on time?
WTF?
You are going to Pearl Jam????!!!
How does a post office matter? Buy all your merch First thing....
Then find a comfortable spot. If they let you go to the post office after you buy merch... I hate to be mean but I would be glad if they didn't let you back in.
Yeah, I am going to see Pearl Jam. I heard The Fixer on a Sportscenter montage, and I have been hooked ever since. Heard they were good live, so figured I would check them out.
Take it easy staysea, I've been a fan for 20+ years, just because I have not been fortunate enough to see a PJ show before doesn't mean I like the band less than you do and don't deserve to go. The reason I posted is because I have no idea how the merch setup works at shows, didn't know if they might have a tent setup outside the venue, or if I would be able to pass merch to a friend outside Wrigley, etc. The UPS/Fedex locations matter because they mail things for you, which means I don't have to carry my shit around all night, or fly back with it. Sounds like that is not an option, no big deal. And relax with the multiple exclamation points, and questions marks, that shit is ridiculous.
This info is helpful, just to set expectations for us out-of-towners who are fans, but not frequent concert-goers, and have decided that Pearl Jam is worth it to travel. Thanks all for helping out! I'll def be meeting some of y'all at the pre/post parties. Be sound!
I'm hoping the merch stands will be outside the stadium, then I'll be able to hop back on the red line to drop my stuff off at home before coming back for the show.

i could see that happening. over by the statues on addison would make sense.
not really much space inside the venue for that, unless it's right by the main entrance.
Ask 10c for a pre-show poster sale. That was badass when they did that. I got my LA 3 poster a week later - even though I managed NOT to make it to the show!
