I think the real problem with tickets is Pearl Jam doesn't play enough shows. So a lack of shows with a high demand means a lot of "real fans" get shut out. I don't think that Pearl Jam selling out Wrigley is a big deal since they have only played 5 US shows since 2010. If Dave Matthews or Bruce Springsteen or Phish only played 5 US shows since 2010 they could sell out Wrigley too. The Dispatch sold out MSG 3 nights in a row when they were on hiatus and I had never even heard of them at the time.

They did the same thing in Boston and I am still not sure who they are.

Dispatch actually had over 100,000 people show up for their show at the Hatch Shell. They are self proclaimed as "the biggest band no one ever hear of" but they still sell out shows since they reunited. Not here to hijack thread just to show my fondness for this band. They are good.

Count me in with the people who went "who??" when I heard Dispatch was playing red Rocks for 3 nights :o

Yeah, I just listened to a few of their songs, and they are totally average. I can't believe they can sell shows like that. Oh well. I'm glad someone is enjoying them.

If you want to get an educated, factual list of events as to what really happens to tickets before, during, and after sales, please be sure to read Ticket Masters: The Rise of the Concert Industry and How the Public Got Scalped. The book is written by Dean Budnick and Josh Baron.

I heard that 200 tickets were loaded onto a freight ship headed from new york to miami this morning...they will then be loaded onto a plane at 7:03PM and flown to a secret location in the midwest where they will be picked up by an unmarked car and delivered to a courier who will then bring them to a bar day of the game and give them away to unsuspecting fans!

My question is why were those 200 tix not given to 10C?!?!? now thats the scandal!

    I don't know, man.

No offense, but I'm gonna call bullshit on this.

    haha

"RMWatson...I think you are hilarious. My point I was sacrastically trying to make...try to follow as I know this might be tough for you.....It would be nice to have real music fans, real PJ fans, etc get to enjoy the show. From my POV it looks like most just got tixs to resell. Maybe Im wrong but its my POV. Dont pick apart a few words and be rude. You didnt have anything intelligent to add to the post so go milk your cat. "

If I did have a cat, which I dont, but if I did, it would be a real fan too. :D
